Watching Palace v Bournemouth. In the 35th minute the tv station decide to spend the next 10 minutes talking about Burnley and City. I'm more concerned with Palace than Burnley and City.I don't want to watch that one anyway.Admittedly, the latter is the main show but...crap!
Bournemouth were like this when we were down to 9 men against them last season. They look like they've got no idea what to do to take advantage of the situation. It's bizarre. They'll probably win it now that I've said that.
They were bloody awful tonight. If they keep that up, they could get themselves relegated. Palace weren't any great shakes but comfortable winners.
They might not have been but Palace's defence was better than ours against Bournemouth. How did we manage to concede two goals against that lot.
With 10 men. Eddie Howe is the longest serving Premier League manager. Perhaps he's been at Bournemouth for too long? He's being linked with the Everton job, so he might move in a day or two.
He's a bit more than that. But he's unproven with top players. He's still trying to get average players to punch above their weight - so far he's doing OK, but what's the extent of his ambition? A mid table finish? This season it's probably 14th or 15th place.
I think playing a hard 80 minutes or so against Olympiakos didn't help. Add in some over exuberance in chasing more goals and complacency in defending and......Hey Presto! We've yet to learn how to slow a game down and take the win that we've earned. We need to.
That was the old Not Special Any More Mourinho. This is the new, adventurous, humble, happy, ballboy rewarding Special Again Mourinho.
I don't know who he is yet. Currently, he's like my youngest brother. He looks like his old self and sounds a lot like him but I rather suspect that he's an alien clone.
He's still demob happy after his release by Utd. One bad result and I suspect he will revert to type.
