I think we're solid enough down the left, especially with Rose recently resembling his old self again.

Down the right? Sell the both of them, sign someone like Wan Bissaka and promote KWP to the back up position he probably should've been given at the beginning of the season.
And we might be converting Foyth to a RB.

Arsenal got torn a new one by Wolves last night. A lot of the top six sides including us know how that feels. So impressed with how they play. If they had a bit more quality in key areas and sorted out their away form, they would be a pretty scary prospect.

IMHO they may suffer the Leicester effect.
Catch the PL cold and stun one season, then are worked out and
are played accordingly the next.

Yeah they’re mainly a counterattacking team, which goes some way to explaining their prowess against the top 6. If they can get better in games they dominate, which you’d think they could with a midfield containing Neves and Moutinho, they’ll be a serious threat in the future.

Isn't Andersen right footed and, if so, isn't that a problem if he's to be the long-term heir to Jan?
Poch appears to have relaxed that rule on centre backs given the various games where we've paired two of Toby/Sanchez/Foyth at the back this season - although in a back three we may be using Davies on that side in the future, given we've experimented with him playing there once or twice this season

Of course, if he really wants a left-footed centre back, Wimmer is probably available for less than we sold him for a couple of summers back, with Hannover dropping him so they don't trigger the clause to make his loan permanent and Stoke rooted in the Championship's midtable, we could potentially sign him and still make a profit from what we sold him for

It took him 5 years or so to win his first trophy so other clubs should heed that message and not dismiss coaches so quickly. At the moment fate's leading Poch in the right direction i.e. not instant success but a slow build up. If a coach wins two trophies in his first season he's expected to maintain it and when he falls short the following year he's soon shown the door.

Let's just be patient and keep going as we are. Yes, we might be falling short just before the last hurdle but it won't always be so.
Exactly right. You need a minimum of 300 matches to measure the true value of a coach (if going by results alone). You can judge a bit earlier based on the actions taken.
Pochettino passes all tests as far as I can see.

I like big Kev.

Granted his 2016-17 form was not great, but he fronted up well in 2015-16.
I am wondering whether he is another of the Pochettino "attitude" victims
(for whatever reasons) .

Can't help but notice this allows us to watch not one but two teams BOTTLE topping the league unfold in real time...
https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/318818/

That appears to be running on the basis of match round (ie for round N
compute the info when the results for N games are known for all teams) ,
rather than who has what points on what date (regardless of number
of games played) . So the BBC site clickbait merchants will hate it. :)

It also confirms what our resident stattos already know :

come the Xmas period the Pochettino Spurs ramp up their performance
and that effectively defines their bottom line position come May.

Considering how angry Chris Sutton got when a caller suggested Saltypool bottled the league a few weeks ago, talkBALLS won't like it either as it shows their six point lead at the top evaporate

He looked really 'bulky' at times. I reckon that, like Vinny, fitness was possibly one of the issues. If you're not fit and giving 100% in training for MP, then you're history. I reckon Big Kev likes his Bratwurst and Beer and running about became a bit of an inconvenience.

Ajax don't play this weekend which means they will be fresher than us so why don't we field a team on Saturday with players who won't make the team on Tuesday thereby keeping our main players fresh?
