VAR needs to be operated correctly. The ref should state what he saw or what he thinks he saw or state that he didn't see anything. Then ask the VAR official to confirm what he saw or correct him if he was wrong. The ref should then base his decision based on the evidence. If the ref misses something then the VAR official could advise. Notwithstanding that, the ref must have the final say. Otherwise, it will be like having a bunch of pundits who never agree and will be a waste of time.
I see the FA have charged Dick Emery for his Wenger imitation. Apparently, the water bottle filed a complaint.
I think they’ve legislated a new ‘offence’, Aquaphobia’ - specifically to deal with the repeated abuse of H2O at the Emirates.
Moderators: Do we need posters from other clubs all over our board? Let them post in threads dedicated to their clubs. I have to read through pages of rubbish to get to see posts from our fans about other teams - surely the purpose of this thread - rather than trying to score points about the same issue over and over. This seems to be increasing and it will only get worse as we occupy the upper echelons of the league.
Quite a hostile industrial-esque chemical environment at the Library. Specifically, physical danger due to : 1. Lack of O2 ( "atmosphere" ) 2. Unpredictable liquid sprays to the body (bottle-projected H20) . Reads like a job suited for deedub (if they can afford his "danger money" rates + provide him with adequate odour suppressants) .
Don't mind wearing an aqualung, but I'm not into too much mental stress at the mo. I'll stick with the AK's and RPG's, but thanks for the offer all the same.
It's a personal thing. I've never put anyone on ignore on any board I've ever been on. I hoped I wouldn't have to do that.
Fair enough. Although it's pretty much just BobbyD, BrunelGooner and Spurlock's B* that come here so putting them on ignore would block out most of it. The rest are too intimidated by our mighty mods I definitely take the point though and it's something that we try to keep a limit on even if I'm occasionally guilty of humouring myself by teasing the visitors too( ). You can always give one of the mods a PM or tag us in a thread if we need to tidy it up by deleting/moving posts as it's difficult for us to keep track of every thread, immediately. To answer your original question though, we try to strike a balance to suit our users. The 3 users above all add something to the board and you get some reasonable discussion from them too. If others think it's becoming more of a problem we'll try and start moving the arguments to the Mouser Watch thread, dig up the Gooner one and make a Chelsea one aswell. @Spurlock & @Spurlock's Bitch if you two could keep some of the banter to the Mouser Watch thread in future it would be appreciated. You can always quote someone from another thread and cut and paste it into the Mouser thread, as it will still give them a tag so they can respond. Thanks for letting us know, Vim, and if you or anyone else wants to add anything you can PM us or tag us in the thread. More general moderation chat can go in the Bill Nick too. I'm leaving this thread as it is for now as we've got a weekend of football coming up so it will soon be buried by other chat. *Also LDL but he's vice-chair of the Paul Stewart fan club so kind of is Spurs.
