Is 2nd and an F.A.Cup win a good season for Utd?
I'm a child of the '80s - this is what we got under Big Ron.
Should I be happy or sad?
Considering City just beat the points record for the PL 2nd isn't too bad. An FA Cup win (or any trophy win) is always nice, there are only so many to be won each season so all in all not a bad season.
Fergie didn't win the league every season you know :emoticon-0100-smile

Bloody wish I hadn’t used quick drying paint....... <yikes>

Apart from the comedy value of Jones proving his worth again, I would rather stick pins in my eyeballs than watch this poor excuse for a game of professional football.....

The only useful thing that Jones could do in this match is to put that nasty little cheating twat Hazard out of the WC - and then get an injury to put himself out too <laugh>

Much as it pains me to say it, as I hate the Chavs with a vengeance, but I’d love to see United lose this now to show up Mourinho for his technical ineptitude and for hanging young talent out to dry!
The fella is a complete twat! <doh>

Chelsea have had a better season than us imo.

Not for me. Winning the FA Cup would be a great day out but not having CL football for the second time in 3 years is going to both hurt and cost Chelsea. It won't keep Hazard there, if he gets an offer from Real or Barca. It really isn't going to help recruitment and they are going to have to tempt players and manager with extra money to pass up the CL. That's what greases the wheels.

Certainly, for us, we need the CL.

The game was an awful, dour affair and only the Neanderthal Chav fans will derive any joy from it.

Brian’s spot on: the win won’t save Contes job, nor prevent Hazard move on to Spain. Those 2 things alone sum up the value of the FAC win to Chelsea. It’s a sticking plaster on a gaping wound across the abdomen of the club.

They won a PL title on the back of a barren, low pressure year with the addition of some significant personnel improvements at significant cost - an outlay that we are in no real position to match. They have largely imploded this year again.

I wouldn’t take their year over ours for one minute - and which Spurs fan wants another day out at Wembley anyway!! <laugh>
