On the Chelsea board, they are saying the racist accusation against Clattenberg is that he call Mikel, mico - Spanish for monkey. Anyone see the flaw in that accusation? Why would he say it in Spanish for one thing, and there is no way he could have been saying Mikel is there? Don't know if the poster is correct in saying this is the accusation, but if he is Chelsea will be opening a major can of worms if the charge is so flimsy!

This is all very strange as monkey in Spanish is mono!!!!! Mico is a midget or small..Also it is now being reported that the players who overheard the said words are Portugese speaking.Have Chelsea made a real c**k up?

it didn't piss me off, i'm saying, what they did was against a championship team basically, against us for instance they, couldn't and wouldn't do it

If it didn't piss you off then it certainly will now. Arsenal have a virtual bye into the semi final. There is now a realistic chance of them winning the competition with you and Liverpool being eliminated last night. There's not a prayer Swansea/Norwich/Villa will be able to beat Arsenal over two legs so your only hope is if we get them (providing we beat Leeds) but that would mean us in a final. Lesser of two evils et al I suppose <ok>

None of this accusation makes sense. As Pat says, Mico can mean smail monkey. It Can also colloquially be a really ugly person. Volver mico means to go crazy. I think Clattenberg is a ****e referee, but I think The Chavs are either stirring it for him, or have got it completely arse about face.

He does deserve a run of games, which he'll get there...but that means we're stuck with Walker until February.

i'm confused by this. i honestly thought Smith was close to making a few appearances for us.

it's like Kane all over again. - look how short of options that's left us! <doh>

Like i said on their Board D/L i don't think they will win it,if they ship 5 goals against a side that will be in the Championship next season,A P/L side will beat them. And remember Birmingham City

If Assou-Ekotto's nearly back, then Smith's loan makes sense.
He'd be behind Walker and Naughton on the right and the Cameroonian and Vertonghen on the left, so he's probably better off getting games.
Millwall worked out well for Townsend and Kane, but less so for Livermore or Mason, if I remember right.
Still think we should loan them Gomes.

Fredericks got recalled from Brentford the otherday so I thought he might have been heading out on loan. Should be better for him than just playing under 21 matches.

Maybe he should join Smith at Millwall? Might be an idea for them to build up an understanding in first team games.
A Millwall fan that I know believes that they're interested in signing Smith permanently, though.
Not sure how likely that is to happen.

You could see the look on Vermalaen's face as he made a balls up of the clearance. As soon as he saw where the ball had gone, he must have known what was coming. <laugh>

Santos is definitely a weak link for them. If they start him against us, then we've got to get Lennon going at him as much as possible.

On that 1st half showing, we're miles better than the Gooners!

I can see United going on the rampage, in the second half.
