The bigger they come the harder they fall etc etc etc but I'm rising above going onto their board and gloating because I'd like to concentrate on us catching up with their record. I'm hoping now we can turn the tables on them. Must be an awful bump from CL to Europa after all those years and for them to see their neighbours doing better. I'm more focussed on turning things around on Chelsea and maybe, just maybe gazumping them for Llorente is the start we need.
Don't speak to soon. With our group we may finish up playing the so and so's in the EL.We can then return to playing our reserves!!!!!!

We're only into match 3 of the season and with all the transfer activity it seems longer than that. The speculation seemed interminable. Anyone brave enough to guess what the next team sheet will look like?

Meant Özil has suggested that Arsenal 'legends' that have been critical of him, should stop criticising and start supporting.

Ohhhhh, that's lit the blue touch paper!

Isco.Darn, what a player and great to watch. If Neymar is worth a world record fee, than Isco must be priceless!

The interview is quite enlightening:

"We have achieved a lot in our four years together," Ozil said. "Three of the 13 FA Cup victories have been accomplished in the past four years, with the other 10 taking 75 years for the club to win. This is in addition to our three Community Shield wins. After all, six [trophies] in four years is quite something"

Considering the Community Shield as a mark of success in line with a PL or FAC - and thus over estimating the achievements of the last few years is a good indicator of one their major problems.

Their trophy 'success' over the past few years has been completely undermined by the general malaise and internal conflict that seems to have afflicted the club. Long may it continue!! <laugh>

......and they still want to dump Monsewer Wenger!
Why should Krankie dump Wenger? Wenger takes all the flac from the fans and Krankie can take a fat salary and not have to invest any money. As long as the share price holds that's all Krankie cares about. It the gooner fans start saying Krankie out or boycotting the Emiroids then things might change but they are too stupid to do that. Whoever manages l'arse will end up with the same results or worse because of an absentee owner who cares little about football. He is an investor who wants a return on his outlay. L'arse started going downhill the day David Dein threw in the towel. He had football in his heart and was responsible for most of l'arse's greatest signings. Krankie wouldn't know a footballer from a checkout cashier at ASDA.

Fekking great isn't it? Thank you Krankie, every little bit helps.

I wonder if he will survive a mid table finish. Wenger has been very successful financially, if that dried up the loyalty from the board would disappear quickly.

Been discussing this on the Goon board.

Kroenke doesn't appear to take dividends etc, so he is not leeching.
He owns an asset that has some value, but he is not really dependent
on the market worth of that asset (debt "leverage" etc) . And unlike
uncle Joe, he does not appear to have a bottom line figure on which
he would sell faster than you can blink.

So unless the on-pitch performances cause the on-paper value of his
asset to really plummet, their situation will (fortunately) remain/worsen.
