Let's be honest, their wages make little sense: the majority of the squad are on £30k a week or less, Carroll who is on £70k a week (and that's mainly because the Mousers inflated his wages), yet Payet is supposedly on £125k?
Something there simply does not add up.
I think in the 1950's players were payed something like 15 quid during the season and 12 quid during the off season.I believe this was thought excessive!
