It also wouldn't surprise me if the £125k a week Sullivan claims he was paid was a little embellished.
Let's be honest, their wages make little sense: the majority of the squad are on £30k a week or less, Carroll who is on £70k a week (and that's mainly because the Mousers inflated his wages), yet Payet is supposedly on £125k? Something there simply does not add up.
I think in the 1950's players were payed something like 15 quid during the season and 12 quid during the off season.I believe this was thought excessive! Wonder what they do with their "money" today?
Why's this deal worth noticing? City signed Taylor from Bristol Rovers, triggering a clause in his contract to do so. He's scored 19 league goals this season and becomes the first player in 30 years to move between the clubs. Making Bristol Proud? Welcome to Bristol? Ouch.
There's one obvious question I have about players moving to China: will they ever be on the radar of European clubs ever again? ...and before the anti-Chinese rhetoric the media is pushing kicks in, that same question has routinely been asked about MLS for years, and never answered particularly convincingly.
Palace and Swansea both winning and Leicester lose again.... The most attackingest team ever will be displaying all there best attackingest skills in the Championship at this rate!!
So much so that they could drop into the relegation zone before their next game. It's unlikely that Palace will beat Sunderland and Swansea will beat City, but that would do it. Their game on the weekend is against you lot, too.
