"Palace were equal to Liverpool most of the game" Funny that cos they barely had a touch of the ball 1st half. Basically camped in the palace half for 70mins
I would be quite happy to see Everton win 18-0 today. Anything which pushes that rabble West Ham closer to going down, is fine with me.
What gets me is that, usually, when a club fails to control their fans for a couple of matches in a short space of time The FA threaten them with a points deduction - yet there's been four or five incidents so far this season, yet not a word.
How on earth can the FA or the Premier League take on a club funded by the tax payer and backed by the Tory Government?
Get over yourself. Was talking about media reporting not the Pool performance. But if you want to focus on that then as we know only too well, possession alone means nothing. Palace were in the game until the Firmino goal and had they got the rub of the green decision-wise then the result may well have been different.
Oh the "biased liverpool media & officials" sorry i missed that but its so pathetic i rarely respond with any seriousness. Agreed possession means nothing but Palace were given 1 of their two goals and never really threatened besides that, despite it being 3-2 at one point. Speaking of the decisions, the ref had a decent game, the two palace pen calls were rightly not given. howard webb said so
I don`t like Pardew or Palace, but I thought it was a classic case of the referee giving Pool the benefit of doubt with every 50/50 decision, which does influence the overall dynamic of a game. Pool`s first goal was probably offside and on another day Palace could easily have been given 3 penalties by a referee with a less of a soft spot for Pool.
I hate to say it but chelsea look excellent under Conte. They had a bit of a blip a few weeks ago but he has a clearly defined way of playing and they are rapidly mastering it. Also helps that their big name players have decided to break a sweat this season. Top 5 is looking mightily close. Games against our nearest rivals will be more crucial than ever.
Yes, playing with a back three and two wing backs allows Luiz to rush into midfield to try to win the ball back with the insurance of two central defenders to mop up behind him. This makes him more effective and enables Kante and Matic to play higher up the pitch. When Chelsea win the ball back, they do so in areas where they can quickly get it to Hazard and be on the attack.
