Fabian Delph says he's learned more in the three weeks Guardiola has been in charge than the rest of his career combined. In other words, Fabian Delph wants to stay on the City gravy train and is sucking up to the new boss in the hope he stays there...
And in other news, Karren Brady is moaning because the FA didn't phone her to ask for a reference for Sam Allardyce. "Surely it's usual procedure" she says. Maybe they called people who are more honourable and know what they're talking about Karren.
The FA got her voicemail offering a reference for Fat Sam, and were going to call back. But they were so worried that the number she gave was a Sullivan premium rate "talk" line, they declined.
Surely the procedure would have been to call Ellis Short for a reference, given he was Allardyce's employer?
I didn't think references were mandatory anyway..... and in a high profile business like football it seems a bit pointless anyway. Even the FA (well... possibly..... maybe....) would know enough about Alladyce without having to talk to some pointless non-entity with delusions of grandeur.
New Liverpool signing Georginio Wijnaldum, 25, says manager Jurgen Klopp persuaded him to join the Reds, rather than Tottenham or Merseyside rivals Everton. Are you sure it's not because Liverpool were the only club to actually bid, Georgie?
My first reaction to this photo of Kolo Toure was that he'd just been put in front of a firing squad: please log in to view this image I've done a bit of research though and apparently this wasn't the case. He'd just seen the Celtic third kit and realised that he'd have to wear it at some point: The comments are as positive as you'd expect them to be, too.
Our 2010-11 team are coming home. Nico's at Rangers, Rafa's going to Reading and I saw that Leicester are interested in Charlie Corluka. I guess Luka and Gareth won't be leaving Madrid and I doubt there's queue for BAE or Pav but it would be good to see them all. Happy days!
How much is GOD being paid......and where is the money coming from. A bottle of beer for 10 quid?.....and a cup of Rosie-Lee for....?I hate to think! Spare a thought for all those Man U fans from "down South" who are shelling out their hard earned wages on their many train trips and having to pay a bomb to get in the ground (and having to pay to get out?)
Apparently Paul Pogba's agent is holding up the transfer because he is demanding a commission of £25m for the deal Pardon my french but **** me.
It's a disgusting deal. For me you have to be a game changer if you are talking that money. Pogba is a load of bollocks. Payet is twice the player, it's his age that's the issue. No way is Pogba anything to shout about. Suarez,Ronaldo, Messi, Bale etc...game changers. Pogba? In Diers pocket when we play them, if he signs.
I think, if I remember correctly, that when Pogba joined, the agent negotiated a percentage of whatever profit Juve made if and when they sold him. The row seems to be over who's going to pay it....
