In neither of the angles on the gif does he fall forwards - his legs shoot out behind him, which may be common for a frog, but not a human being.

Look at Young's left arm on Clyne's neck and watch Young's right leg move to the right for no reason. No foul by Clyne, only by Young.

It still amazes me that refs fall for the Ashley Young Starjump. It's like he's telegraphing his diving, yet they still don't see it.

If referees never picked up on van Nistelrooy or Ballack diving, no matter how obvious it was that they dived to anyone with eyes, they'll never pick up on Young's. Unless he transfers to Newcastle.

A foul and a dive, to me. Just a tad weaker than the foul and a dive Alderweireld took part in. But I think it’s given more often than not. In both cases the attacker turns drama queen after the foul, but a yellow for diving was only fashionable for a short time.

Young nutmegs Clyne, tries to run past him to the ball, is impeded as Clyne places his outstretched arm across Young's chest to block him and is ultimately dragged to the ground.

That is all clear from the footage. it's not interpretation or opinion. It's blatant.

You got the free kick and goal but don't delude yourself. I was a foul and a dive by Young also clear from the footage. The ref got it wrong ...again.

  10. There was absolutely no need for Young to execute the splits in that move. It was his doing the splits that took him to the ground, and it was his going to ground that caused the ref to blow his whistle. Therefore, Young obtained an advantage by means of foul play. The ref was conned, pure and simple.

  11. Superb from Leicester! They go 2nd, pushing Arsenal back into 4th!

How I wish that Spurs could be like the mighty Leicester, playing with verve and passion!

Sherwood will be furious with that. 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go and you end up losing? He'll be fuming.

  13. It could be worse, PNP; Sherwood could still be at Spurs!

I wonder if any journalist is considering where the Chavs will be in the table if Newcastle beat Wet Spam tomorrow...

  15. If Ranieri gets Leicester top 4, he'll go down as the Prem's greatest current manager! That would serve only to emphasise just how dreadful The Smug One has become!

Yeah, it's been mentioned. I doubt anyone's mentioned it to Mourinho in person, though...

Correct. It is a ludicrous star jump, but he is impeded by the arm.

I see Adebayor has gone.....and is asking for a few million severance pay(?).
I frankly wouldn't give him a 20 quid luncheon voucher!

Leicester are becoming the country's neutral side, everyone is enjoying watching them play, unless your team is facing them of course, which therefore you suddenly despise them for the day.
