In SAF's day, it was subtle stuff like that which favoured ManU as much as the huge decisions, for example giving yellows for the first challenge on a United player so that the opposition player on a yellow so early on had to ease off for the rest of the match.

It makes me laugh when the fans of newly-promoted clubs start baying for the blood of the manager who brought them up, because (surprise, surprise) he is unable to counter the general rule that newly-promoted sides go straight back down.

I reckon that QPR are in for a bigger roasting than a virgin at a John Terry/Ashley Cole piss-up.
QPR put the ball in the net twice in quick succession in about five minutes following this comment, with both disallowed, the second in pretty controversial circumstances.
Then Mike Dean turns down a big penalty claim for the home side, as Sandro's shot appears to be handled in the box.
1-0 QPR, Austin. Pellegrini is going to be massively under pressure if they don't win this one.
Joe Hart was a very lucky man on that 2nd disallowed goal, particularly when he was allowed to take it again as it should have been an indirect free kick to QPR.
Now City equalise with a suspicion of handball.

As it's an indirect free-kick, Mike Dean should've played the advantage and allowed the goal to stand.
I can understand him making a mistake, but not knowing the rules when he's been a top level referee for years is really, really poor.
It's an unusual occurrence, but it's something that he or one of his assistants should be aware of.
Dean's also booking QPR players at every turn and letting similar fouls by City players go.
I think that he'll be getting some stick from that area of London, as there'll be at least two managers from there that'll be pissed off with him so far.

the hart double kick confuses me...I thought that if you kick a ball twice at a free kick then it is an indirect free kick to opposition. ..and as hart technically fouled then it should have been an indirect free kick to rangers...and in that case why does advantage not come into play?..but guess I dont know the laws.

Apparently Mike Dean got the Hart double-kick right, as the ball hadn't left the area before he touched it again. It is a retake.

By the way ... this and most other games shows we were right to sell and then to not re sign caulker...very poor imo

No, but there were one or two that were questionable, especially when compared to a couple from City that weren't followed by a yellow.
He didn't appear to be applying the same standard to both teams, in my opinion.
Caulker's struggling badly against Aguero, but so do a lot of defenders. He's had quite a few poor games this season, though. Really needs to up his game.
No...my issue is that city players weren't booked for doing the same fouls that qpr player were being booked for.
