Can you imaging 30,000 Chelsea fans trying to get to Twickenham? That would cause a mass walkout of London Transport staff!
Newcastle's Cheik Tiote has a bit of a problem with being faithful, it seems. Not only does he have two wives and a mistress, but he's been courting the filthy Goons. Apparently them and an unnamed Russian side want to sign him in January and he'd like to stay in England, presumably after buggering off to Morocco for a month with the Ivory Coast. The already unhappy Geordies will presumably be even less happy at this news. Pardew Out and all that.
Personally think Tiote is massively overrated. A half decent DM but not worthy of a side challenging for top 4 in my opinion. Considering he's a DM who plays alongside Sissoko and/ or Anita, two other strong combative midfielders, they do a poor job of protecting their back 4.
he is a thug with a good shot...a doppleganger of charlie adam...and like adam he is a complete cock of man it would be funny to watch gooners defending his 2 footed lunges while moaning at anyone who fouls their players
If this man is a Muslim, don't they think they are entitled to lots of wives and mistresses....and 20 odd virgins when they get to eternity? If he lives in England he should live and obey the laws as we do (I hope!). That means on the playing fields also. But then again I've seen Rooney put in some real nasty tackles too.......taking a leaf out of Scholes's book.Never heard Sir Alex complaining about that!
Not exactly. Muslim men are allowed to take up to four wives at any one time. No mistresses. I'm not really sure how he hasn't broken any laws, to be honest. Polygamy is allowed in Islam, but not in either England or the Ivory Coast, where his other wife lives. He's clearly committed an offence that carries jail time and his agent doesn't seem to understand the implications of his statement. Perhaps he's not expecting anyone to follow it up?
Don't think it is ok for Muslim men to have mistresses...think you may be confusing that with MP's and royalty
Strangely enough, I've decided Liverpool 1-0 down are a better entertainment value than Arsenal 4-1 up.
Poor old Everton really don't have the resources to play in Europe. So many of their squad has to play every game, they will struggle towards the end of the season.
Everton could easily leave out their first XI entirely and play a decent side with some big prospects on the bench, but Martinez has decided not to. Big call, as they face Man Utd at noon on Sunday, which is a very strange kick-off time, especially as they're out in Russia. Dodgy. A couple of injuries might force his hand a little, but it's going to be a taxing trip for them, I think.
Same thing happened to us a few years back: San Siro on Wednesday night, home game to Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
I'm sure that there was a worse one, actually. '06/07 season against Braga away on Thursday, finishing at about 1am or something, then Chelsea away in the FA Cup quarter final on Sunday at noon. Went 3-1 up and then ran out of steam and conceded two goals in the last twenty minutes, then lost the replay.
We had a worse one. Sevilla 2100 CET Thursday Chavs 1245 Saturday. We were friends with Sevilla then and they let us train on their ground Friday morning, and then fly home Friday afternoon. Good old premier league eh!
Yeah, they did alright. Poor start, fought for a point and could've nicked a slightly undeserved winner at the end. Still think they'll pay for all of this travel against Man Utd, though. Martinez will do well to get a win there. Take a point now, I'd expect.
IMHO the UEFA campaigns don't really affect the bigger clubs until the KO stage. Whatever perceived weaknesses there are on Evertons' squad strength to stay in the hunt for a CL place while in Europe, probably won't be shown until then (if at all) .
