The manager takes responsibility. One word: Sherwood.

The villa players improved 50% with him. If the players can't be arsed, whose fault is it? Who has responbility to whip them? Why do you think Rodgers ALWAYS says that his players have given 110% and couldn't have worked harder?

Absolutely, the buck stops with the manager but I don't think the players are blameless either.

If Villa had the same attitude as you and some of the fans , they would have been relegated by now. They couldn't hit the proverbial barn door. And benteke was completely lost. Lambert was as bad as Rodgers.

Sherwood came along. The rest is history. Revitalised the club. The players were inspired. Lfc lost the semifinal. And villa is scheduled to escape relegation.

We can see that Rodgers has taken us to his limit. Why persist with him? As Pearson said, it is time we stopped being "an ostrich"

Well he is working on a shoestring budget.

What about the net spend though ? Do you think Liverpool can financially compete?
Net spend is some silly justification and a poor excuse for a disastrous summer recruitment by Rodgers. He had £120 million to spend on players and did we ****ing get £120m worth? No. What has net spend got anything to do with it?

He had so much money that he went on a spree. We lost one world class player granted. Does net spend force him then to go and buy markovics, Manquillo, lovren, lambert, and balotelli??

Like has been said several times by several posters here, it looks like the mancs will get the CL place by default . We kept being offered it, the door is being opened large for us to go in on many occasions . What do we do? Rodgers says thanks but no thanks. We have no chance.

You lost Luis Suarez though . Liverpool have only the fifth highest wage bill you know, do you still think Liverpool should be doing better ?

This is all balls

The fact is lfc looked flat, insipid.

Fa cup semi went to team wanting it more and that's the disgrace in my eyes

Some players didn't look too pushed and we all know who they were

Villa owned shut. Villa responded to concedin a goal and lfc could not raise it and no amount of sherwood bouncing round changed anything

No the real story is he lifted them in terms of freeing their attacking ability. They've been shipping goals and scoring them. It will keep them up but not much more

Are you suggesting Rodgers cannot motivate the players ?
