And what have you won since 'way back in 2008?' In fact ever actually?

We are consistently up the top
areas regardless of what happens - including almost going bust ourselves.

You could only dream of the consistency we have.

Interesting the position we find ourselves in after our "fall from grace" is also the ceiling for your miserable club.

You sure are if 6th/7th in the league is considered as " up top " of the premier division. I have no delusions Liverpool are a far far bigger side than Southampton are and ever will be and I am in no way ashamed that where Southampton/Liverpool are is our " ceiling ". It says more about Liverpool and their delusional supporters that after spending 100 + million on a good squad to only be battling for a champions league place with the likes of Southampton is considered a good season is laughable. Considering about 8-9 years ago you really were up top you have fallen from grace and are a upper mid table side like ourselves despite the vast superior spending power and being a far bigger side.

Not the only reason :bandit:

Would you want him out Tobes?
Not sure mate tbh.

I think our league performances this season have been completely unacceptable given the quality of our squad. However in Europe we've been great so it's been a complete conundrum as to why.

Does he deserve a 3rd season to prove which Martinez is the real one - the one who took us to our record PL points tally last season or the sideways and backwards version this year? Probably, yes.

However, we need to rebuild this summer and I'm not sure I trust him to be the man who spends the dosh. As if we carry on like this into next Autumn then he'd have to go.

Why are people arguing with a bitter Southampton fan. They lost to us last week, they need to get over it and move on.
They are likely a 1 season wonder, so they should focus on trying to scrape Europa this season and see if they can stay in the league for the next couple of years.

Saints were having trouble finding the net long before you lot were given the helping hand of Kevin Friend. Hardly surprising you genuinely believe this though considering your club has the arrogance to suggest http://www.teamtalk.com/champions-l...Rodgers-This-Liverpool-team-could-have-won-CL

I think you're confused, normally you reserve this **** for your rivals, so go start **** on the Everton or wigan board or something.<ok>

Funny how as soon as we close the points gap the odd angry saint shows up to bitch, 3 months ago you were all smiles<laugh>

You've played **** teams so far in Europe. Mystery solved <ok>

Just no point in sacking him IMO, who do you expect to come in and do better? Plus would another manager want to keep Lukaku or offload him at a big loss?

It seems to me from an outside view that he can't get the balance right between defence and attack.

Last year, he had Moyes' defensive set up and you were brilliant, which you were under Moyes defensively as well. This year at the start it seems like he wanted to attack a bit more and make it more "his team" which then made you poor at the back. Recently he's made you a bit more solid at the back again but then you haven't been scoring.

It's a bit like us, last year we couldn't defend though but were great attacking but then this year we became better defensively but not as good going forward. How did Rodgers get round it, changed formation totally (or [HASHTAG]#luckedout[/HASHTAG]). Maybe that's what you guys need, just a total change in formation or tactics to get the best out of everyone.

I think If you played the way we play probably would suit you as well.

Can have Stones Jagielka Distin as the back 3 with Baines & Coleman as wing backs.
McCarthy Besic in the middle with Mirrales Barkley ahead and Lukaku leading he line.

Would give you a solid middle with 2 players decent on the ball and pressing hard, 3 up top who are tricky, pacey and can be a threat to anyone without having to worry about defending and 2 wing backs who are brilliant going forward and offer real width.

Calling him a Saints fan might be stretching it.. he's hardly even posted on their board since creating his profile just after we beat them <laugh>

He'll get bored soon like he did last week and disappear.

2 points separate us, it's time for you to accept that we are rivals for the same finishing PL place. I know reality isn't really your forte but you're nowhere near that first PL title. You;re battling with Saints, Spurs, United and Arsenal for 3rd/4th. Regression ( as usual ) for Pool after 100+ million spent.

Agreed it probably will.

Plus who replaces him?

You either get a drab manager who plays boring football but you get more of less constant results (Moyes) or you go for an attractive, more risky style like that played by Martinez.

Might as well get Moyes back at this rate.

I'd fooking take that to be honest mate lol

What's your excuse for being behind all those teams despite spending over £70m on players this window

He obviously gets sent to his room the moment he kicks off in the real world, so has to come on here for a moan.

Have you watched Distin this season? <laugh> Having him anywhere near the team is a recipe for disaster.

Funny hearing all these pool fans piping up putting teams down after a victory over city. You would think they have won a trophy or are in poll position. They are still behind united arsenal and potentially spurs and have just overtaken the saints. You would think they would have learnt the lesson from last year after they thought they won the league

I bet sisus frothing at the mouth now that his best mate jose just won another trophy playing anti football

We lost 5 players but replaced them with quality, helping us improve on our best ever PL season. You lost 1 player ( the one player who made you the one man team you were) and replaced him with 100 + million of youtube failures who have of course made you a far inferior side. Wouldn't expect a Pool fan to understand the concept of success while making a net profit <ok>

Would you take Moyes back if he's looking for a job in the summer?

I can't see that happening mate... I think Moyes would do better with the squad we have rather than pass sideways and backwards all the time<laugh>

I also think If the teams In the Europey played against us like teams In the Prem we would get knocked out of that too 1 win In 11 or something like that Is totally unacceptable and It Is probably due to last season and the Europey this year that he Is still employed<yikes>

Personally I would sack the fooker but Its not up to me lol<steam>

There you go I said It <ok><cheers>

Who's the saints bloke he loves you lot eh lol??
