Spent Schment. teams of 11 take to the field and go head to head v another 11, they aall pull out stats on who spent what and play card trading.. well.. if that's how it was done you might be higher up the table but unfortunately for you football gets played instead. <laugh>

You lot have been very good but.. you squandered a huge lead after Spurs Arsenal Liverpool and United all got off to slow starts with last year's Everton missing too.
We're what? 16 points off last season, that would put you 18 points behind, you'd be 8th or 9th had the teams shown the same form and that's after spending 70m. Your new players should be bedding in now and things improving, but it's been the reverse, flew out of the traps and have now run out of steam a little bit, setting the pace for 4th and lower has taken its toll. Was it really living in the real world to expect that kind of points per game ratio to hold up all season?

Thanks for confirming that chelsea and citys titles are not tainted. Moneys money as you say. Mourinho managerial genius. Best manager in club football atm.

That would be between Guardiola, Ancelotti or Simeone. Mourinho a very distant 4th at this point.

Ive never been a fan of martinez and i thought he wouldn't be a good recruitment. He showed more than enough last year and i think teams are far to fast to get rid of managers nowadays.

Imagine if everton had got rid of moyes after his nightmare second season or if liverpool fans (most of them) had got their way with dispensing of rodgers earlier this season (even if he did fluke it he has recognised who is decent and that this formation is working) for that alone i think martinez should be given another season

This is one of the stupidest statements I have ever heard in my long time following football. It actually took me a minute or two to process. Maybe I am interpreting what you said incorrectly but it seems that what you are saying is that no matter what a team has spent they can only send out 11 men and so can the opposition. It seems you are suggesting that if one team costs that 300 Million goes up against a team of lower league free transfers there is no advantage as each man on the field is a mere mortal of muscle sinew and bone, although clearly the 300 million buys a better quality squad. According to your moronic theory Man City and Chelsea have emerged from mid table to consistent premier league challengers out of nowhere and miraculously got the hang of the whole 11 v 11 thing, not the billion odd pounds each has spent. The most successful team in history Real Madrid who spend massive amounts of money every year are also not at an advantage in your opinion when it comes down to matchday because they can only field 11 men v anther 11 men. I may have understood you wrong but I am not going to bother responding to the rest of your post as an idiot who genuinely believes the above simply does not understand even the most basic football concepts and cannot be taken seriously.

No, I was all spent after Henderson and Coutinho's goals, nothing left by the final whistle<ok>

And I haven't commented at all on Chelsea's trophy win either

So you're saying you got rid of rubbish players and replaced with good... while we lost 1 player and brought in lots of rubbish ones...

And yet were still above you... like I say, how bad are you if you're still behind us despite us being so bad <yikes>

I'm going on the Moyes Argument. That is Moyes is a nothing manager because he hasn't won any pots. On that basis Mourinho >>>> Guardiola, Ancelotti and Simeone as he has won more pots (major pots, minor pots) than all three of them. In time they may overtake Mourinho but at the moment Jose is above all 3 of them

You did when you updated my post thanks. Henderson and Coutinho's goals were wonderful. If I could will it to happen then i would quite like Chelsea to poach Coutinho but i doubt that will happen. I've been raving about him since he came onto the scene a couple of years ago

So you think it's a totally fair comparison between Saints and Liverpool despite the gulf in almost everything ? I suppose you think it is a fair comparison as you probably agree with the likes of the other tool who reckons money means nothing in football.

when that whistle goes the money don't mean ****. I don't care about the nonsense that happens off the pitch, just the football.

if dabbling in that makes you feel better about your blip in form then good for you. It ain't Liverpool's fault, stop banging on about bent refs, that's Astro's job ;)

Except for the quality, calibre and experience of said players on the pitch. Is this a wind up or are you only just beginning to take an interest in the game ?

26 - Liverpool have taken 26 points (8W 2D) from their last 10 Premier League games. Charge.
