We did. Had like a milluon views and 40000 replys before it died off. Random thread though. In between the slagging matches a random discussion about politics, science or some current affairs event would break out.

Maybe a 'football banter thread' or something is needed then, but i can see how even that would derail faster than thomas the tank engine on bolivian marching powder, or end up in some discussion about what birds are on the bird feeder or the pleasures of bavarian septuagenarians due to some posters around here

Threads develope banter. If someone posts a disputable comment or stat to make them feel better there will always be another to counter it. I think most serious threads attract good reply`s/discussion untill that point
