Well yeah, I think their point is.....that you SHOULD be able to...but can't. And thats seen as LvG's failing.
In what way is he failing?

This just illustrates the point I've been making but which you fail to address. What is the reason to watch football- is it to be entertained or simply to be able to say to someone "my team's won more than yours" ? If it's the latter you have to take a long hard look at yourself (anyone, not aimed at you particularly), and ask why that is important to you.
Why would anyone choose to spend a significant part of their lives watching something dull just to have some spurious bragging rights?
Any spectator activity is meant to be enjoyed, not endured, and attempting to bask in the reflected glory of a victory we ourselves have played no part in is a little sad.
We all want our team to win, and we all have to accept that sometimes they play badly and if we're lucky to get the points, we should just take them and keep our heads down, rather than try and make out it's some great achievement.
All teams have bad games or bad spells, but the aim should be to work through them to something better, rather than sit back and say "we got the points, and that's all that matters".

That he can't make you play "nice" football and win.
Thats not necessarily what I am saying though.....
That he can't make you play "nice" football and win.
...

That's the whole point, he buys a load of attack minded players and doesn't use them properly, drops the clubs 2nd best ever goalscorer into a holding midfield position.
We've played good football many many times this season. Whether in spells during a game or for a full game. This rubbish about us being awful all season is exactly that, rubbish.
We have been unpredictable.
I agree with you.
I wouldnt say LvG has failed at all.
I dont think he has done as well as I thought he would, but I certainly wouldn't say he has failed.

And Saint, winning while playing badly is what separates the champions from the rest. Liverpool played the best attacking football last season. City ground out wins. One finished champions and the other will be a forgotten memory.

Its the clown kopite contingent following possibly the thickest of them all (He who posts graphs) pretty sad really the way they obsess....
City scored 102 and conceded only 37, had 7-0, 6-0 etc wins.
"Ground out wins" my arse.![]()
3rd highest scores in the league. In 3rd position.
I can list all the games where we scored 2+ goals in a game if you like?

When needed they certainly did. Unlike you guys. Hence why City are champions and you are a forgotten memory.
remember that season Liverpool finished second? Me neither....

I agree mate. It's only a step away from - it doesn't matter if we cheat, as long as we win. Ideally fans want to win and play nice football that surely goes without saying but it seems some just want to win at any cost. This just illustrates the point I've been making but which you fail to address. I completely agree with this. However, this only applies to the odd bad game here and there, it shouldn't become a way of life or an aim in itself. And Saint, winning while playing badly is what separates the champions from the rest. We provide a very nice platform for them to slag us off, were it on their own boards, most of us wouldn't see itLove it when posters come from their boards onto our boards and claim we are obsessive![]()
