More antics from the 'great influence in the dressing room' Eto'o :

''Samuel Eto'o 'goes AWOL' after refusing to take part in double Sampdoria training session as punishment for 5-1 loss on debut ....

Mihajlovic, a notoriously tough manager, ordered the double workout after saying he was ashamed of Sampdoria's performance against Torino, where Eto'o came on a second-half substitute.
The former Cameroon striker joined just six days ago but there have been reports Sampdoria are prepared to rip up his contract after he allegedly went AWOL...''

in his defence he's 45 and not up to two training sessions in one day<whistle>

There's a chance the Derby game won't be shown live if the police get their way when magistates listen to their appeal tomorrow.

The comments section on the article kinda show the plod have a point.<whistle>

Bad bell ends trying to get some revenge for being made to look like ****s after they ****ed up at the Anfield night fixture last season

The appeal will go nowhere but you can now guarantee that the cloth headed ****s will be over bearing and create bother at the game in order to prove their point.

Don't see it as cut and dried as you Tobes, if the magistrates agree with the police the is an early kick off or an afternoon game, there's no way the north London derby will be put back till 5.30.

You're right about them ****ing up last season and this is revenge for their embarrassment.

No way they'll move it at this point mate.

I'll guarantee Sundays media will be full of stories of scousers causing bother at the match though lad.

The compromise might be that the local alehouses get their doors closed, which will cause mayhem. Either way the fans lose, ****ing pigs

If the magistrates do backheel them watch the arrests count go up faster than a nuns knickers.

Guaranteed mate

There'll be horses and vans everywhere and the copter overhead just to complete the intimidating atmosphere.

Totally unnecessary. We give each other the bird but there's not been a proper kick off in living memory.

There's usually bigger kick off's in town than at the game and that would happen regardless of the time the game starts.

personally my opinion is that if they really want games like these in the evening it should be monday when at least some people have work to consider.

thats really the sum total of my opinion on the matter.... though a 5:30 kick off on a saturday night seems a very stupid idea for any football match anywhere given it'll throw fans into any city centre half cut at 7:30pm

as nobody was in and around the Everton training ground/squad then it is all hearsay about his time at Everton. However it seems to be that he was the smiling assassin

The plod have dropped their objection, they said EFC have given guarantees of more stewards on the night.
Like Tobes said there's never been mass brawls or running battles outside the ground, you'd be more safe at the game than in loads of pubs in the area.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy personally intervened to prevent West Ham's deadline-day move for striker Emmanuel Adebayor, 30, going through

HAs this been covered... I am over here and just saw it.

we need to remember back to a certain someone who did no worse than his predecessor getting sacked and replaced with sherwood for not playing adebayor so.... Is Pinocchio about to be tossed aside in the same way for angering Levy about his favorite?

Honestly Levy does a lot of good for spurs but he's held them back from progressing due to this interference and i think he's cost them in the end.

Hmmm, dunno on this one.
I can see his point here. Wham are doing well so far this season and can certainly be considered rivals to Spurs atm, so I can see his reluctance to give them a player that might help their cause.

There's probably more of an element of 'this ^' in this ^ <ok>
