Everton's problem is how pedestrian they are with the ball, they move it around so slowly and don't come at the opposition with any pace. When they first went on this bad run I thought they had some quality in that side that was just needing a kick start, now I'm not sure, I'm thinking last season maybe players like Mirallas, Baines, Stones, Barkley, Naismith just flattered to deceive.

Naismiths always been a donkey... I think thier problem is the two cms

Barry looks like he's got middle age spread and besic is muck

The width from Coleman and Baines is being wasted

In fairness though west brom were only out for a point.

But the quality of pass was piss poor from Everton so in fairness to lukaku he really was up against it

If I were Everton is be looking to change it in system and go for a diamond. Barry is too fat to run, Barkley should be box to box and I'd get two men in the box for Coleman and Baines

There's enough quality in the squad, they proved that last season, the problem is what you've highlighted there with the pedestrian build up play and teams have sussed us out and arrive with a game plan to negate the way they KNOW Martinez will set us up. There's no variation in either tactics or formation, he's hell bent on doing it 'his way' and it'll be his downfall.

Besic has been our best player of late, you're talking ****e again mito.

Should start calling him Barrell instead of Barry, needs to hit the fat farm with Luke Shaw

Look I thought Everton have fight back that's the important thing I think they have knuckled down to the task as players for the manager

If lfc could only take a point at home off Sunderland or hull who did the same who are we to deny that pulls made it tough

In:
Romelu Lukaku
31,12 Mill. £

Muhamed Besic
4,22 Mill. £

Out:
Shane Duffy
1,67 Mill. £

Total transfer pot:
£33.67 million

These are the figures I got for each transfer done so if they are incorrect I apologize.

In total Everton had 33.67 million to play with this season, was it foolish to pay 33 million for Lukaku? Regardless if he's a 1 in 2 striker Tobes says, was it what Everton needed?

I felt a Center back and attacking midfielder were desperately needed before a striker, especially if you consider they brought in Eto'o (who is meant to be leaving, very odd).

Barkley for all his praise is still very young and to be the only CAM player to call upon is just silly as if he gets injuired or out of form they play players out of position. I've said from the beginning we need to protect Sterling as he's too young to be expected to be incredible all the time, we have options for him if he doesn't play or is out of form (out against Sunderland but we won as example).

Distin should of went this season because of his age and because they brought no one in of real quality have just stuck Stones in there and hope he steps up which isn't great man management.

But it goes back to the transfer pot of over 30 million. If they sign all the players Bar Lukaku then they could get three ten million rated players or two 15 million rated players. The Lukaku deal stopped any hopes of Everton actually improving.

Besic isn't the worst buy but the £32m they spent on Romelu Lukaku and Brendan Galloway could have bought Costa
