So if a manager gets a cup but their team is relegated, the cup is just a fluke and the relegation is the real level?
OF THE TEAM - yes of course...........virtually always dictated by their resource level......

So the manager is irrelevant? Or is, say, 4 years not long enough for the manager to make the team he wants?
Wants?
Substitute that for 'can afford', it's all about the budget, right the way through the pyramid.

All this Everton winning nothing talk Is terrible lol cant we talk about something more funny like Stevie Me's contract offer
And how Brendroy has said on sky today that Stevie Me was arguably the best player the Prem has seen![]()
Ridiculous statement. It's in no way shape or form 'arguable', he's clearly best by miles![]()
... and why would we be talking about Gerrard's contract in the rival thread??As this is the rival thread I would just like to add this posted on our board... now we are starting to gel i would hate to pick a team from the players we have, in midfield alone i would want to pick 5 players (and that is doing Fellaini a great injustice after the way he has played) Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Di maria and Mata. This means one striker (which would be an even harder choice) and leaves people like Fellaini and Adnan out in the cold. We now have a very good squad and should improve week on week from now on.
I echo the sentiment and will stick my head out of the parapet and say we have the makings of the best midfield in the league given time.

Not even the best midfield in Manchester...

Are you joking? Blind, Carrick, Herrera and Januzaj are total ****e. Fellaini has had one decent game in 2 seasons. Mata can only play his game when Rooney is injured or banned. Di Maria does **** all because no one else matches his technical level.

Treble, did you expect any other response?
You are right though. Infact we are easily top 5 in terms of midfield right now.
Oh the old "they're all ****e" argument. I knew I'd have to wade through the imbecile responses to get to someone with a constructive response so I'll wait.
Blind is a question mark, although he's shown he is versatile. But Herrera I have no doubt will be immense for us. That isn't based on this season btw, I've watched the kid from his days in Bilbao. Di Maria and Mata are world class. With any combination including Carrick and I'm genuinely excited by the midfield we have.
Youre talking to someone who claimed liverpool would have the best attack in the league without suarez. Well bar city.
