Toure has been dropped. His attitude is a joke but its city so i approve of it.

And can someone pur phil thompson down? And the rest of the sky pundits. Theyre embarrassing. Not just about united but every club. These guys have no clue what they are babbling on about.

I don't understand a lot of pundits saying how Lampard will be a great signing for City. I'm not sure what he offers now as he can't get box to box anymore as he's not fit and quick enough, he's not a defensive midfielder as he can't tackle either...

Only idiots think he is. Hes done for as a player. Its embarrassing for him and city that hes there tbh.

Lampard on for Yaya? Mmm. Not sure about that, like. Arsenal, having just signed a fairly decent striker in Welbeck, must fancy their chances as City are without Yaya and Nasri.

Interesting to see how Frank copes. Going to be a great game, I reckon. <ok>

With the record commentators have with mom choices, he'll be invisable and get a seventy page spread praising a tackle he didnt make.

did you watch build up with peirs and owen?

basically peirs (arsenal fan) was going on about Ozil and how great he is and Owen saying could do better type thing, well piers wanted to do a bet on mom and it would be Ozil, and then found out Owen will be doing the nomination for mom <laugh>

Good finish.

Shows the difference in class between a WC striker (Aguero) and a decent one (Wellbeck).

Wellbeck gets a chance 1v1 and chips the keeper and hits the post. Aguero gets one chance from same distance and taps it into the corner.

Welbeck was unlucky there tbf.

Unlucky, or not good enough?

Could say yes, unlucky because 2 inches to the right and it hits the post and goes in, but then you'd say a good striker would put that out of the reach of the keeper and not at the post.

didn't understand that free kick, didn't they know it would be last kick of the game? get the ****er in the box asap.

Harsh that, missing out by an inch makes him not good enough?

By that logic Balotelli must be absolute mince given he missed an open goal by 20 yards :)

Didn't say he wasn't good enough, but it's the difference between a very good striker and an ok one.

A very good striker gets 1 chance and scores 1 goal. An ok one needs 3 or 4 shots to score and WElbeck's career shows he needs that many chances to score. It's the reason LVG got rid of him because his conversion and goal scoring stats aren't good enough compared to others.

I can't say I'm a Welbeck fan and would tend to agree with you.

However, his stats are somewhat misleading, as his scoring ratio is actually very good when you look at games he's started. He'll largely play up top for Arsenal so we'll see how good he really is this season

Arsenal were easily the best team for the first 26 mins, but, after the goal, Manchester City changed up a gear.

In the centre, Arsenal are bossing it. Lampard and Fernaninho (?) are not as good as Fernando(?) and Toure, and are getting out muscled and out worked. City are ripping Arsenal's left- and right-backs to pieces, though. With the pace of Navas, and the finishing of Aguero, they're always a counter attacking force to be reckoned with.

Welbeck's playing well and was unlucky not to put Arsenal ahead. Think he's a good signing for Arsenal and he'll get quite a few goals this season for them, injuries aside. It'd be funny if he gets more goals than Falcao and Rooney, wouldn't it?
