Yet another classic comment.

He was rated so high that Barcelona were willing to part with £75million for him, the third transfer ever.

You'll be lucky to get £2.50 and a Orange for Welbeck. Unless QPR become interested then you might get £7-10m

65million and Welbeck has plenty of suitors.

Didnt you guys rate suarez? Is that why he was sold?

He was sold because his release clause was triggered. We couldn't do anything to stop it.
It's strange why RM would want to sell di Maria when, according to many, he was their best player last season ( better than Ronaldo?). I don't watch enough Spanish football to have an opinion other than when I have seen him he's either very good or invisible or rolling on the ground.

Should have specified during squeaky bum time.

It didn't make any difference really. Sure it would've put a little more pressure on City but West Ham were never going to get anything at the Etihad anyway.

The loss that cost us was the one to Chelsea.

Ha, Classic

Even your fellow Man U fans don't rate Welbeck, the Man U staff doesn't rate Welbeck, the Man U Board don't rate Welbeck (otherwise he wouldn't be up for sale). Your club wants him out but can't find a buyer cause no one else rates him either.

I don't particularly rate Welbeck but he's a proven contributor to a title winning side. To rate a 30+ Championship player or a completely unproven player ahead of him doesn't make a lot of sense at this stage. Marko might go on to be the best player in the history of PL football but at the moment he's a 20 year old unproven player who scored 5 goals last season.

Welbeck is an England international and understandably wants to play regularly which won't happen at United so he's been told he can find another club. If he does decide to leave he won't struggle to find a club but you know that as there's a thread on this forum about Liverpool having a crack at signing him. You may not want him but some of your fellow Liverpool fans have considered it.

Their best according to...

Madrid fans
Simeone
Barcelona

Hes obviously not their best player on paper. He was however often the best on the pitch. Especially in big games where he certainly didnt go into hiding.

No I didn't slate him because then we were in the building phase and you could see there was long term plan. What the **** is Van Gaal's plan? To eventually have enough defenders to play 631? To keep Man Utd away from relegation until he can successfully campaign for league games to have penalty shoot outs?

I'm sure you're right. A man with LVG's track record has no plan. How can he compare to a man like Rodgers who has built so many great teams!

£75m and Don't believe Barca when it comes to money. Tax dodging.

If plenty of suitors why no bids, time is running out. Lower bids the closer to the deadline

Because weve just put him on the market.

Spurs
Everton
Sunderland
Hull

All been linked. Think he could do a job at chelsea and would, dare i say it, thrive at liverpool.

Far better than is made out due to not being as good as rooney and rvp. A lack of chances.

Being and England regular is no achievement sadly

He'll sturridge is England no 9 and nobody cares.... He gets no super star rating from it. It's the 21 goals last year that draws plaudits

Welbeck with respect is on of the weakest players utd have brought through and in reality is a lower half prem player who's a 10-15 goal player max

I've no doubt Tottenham will step in as levy is a follower and picks players like this so you'll get you move and should laugh all the way to the bank

Says it all then Everton are not really serious and then you've hull with respect and Sunderland who are lower half and only in cos our muck turned them down/is delaying and delaying

Spurs will buy him

Little did astro know. Rodgers is a product of the lvg school of management. As a pupil of jose mourinho rodgers will use alot of the techniques used by mourinho. Mourinho learned from van gaal.

Arsenal would be in for him. We only sell them funny looking french left backs these days.

Astro seems to know very little in general. Talks himself stupid.

Is this even relevant? Surely by the difference in style of play between Mourinho & Rodgers' teams you can see that they have different ideals and principles despite working together for some time.

Im refering to their man management styles. Something i consider as important as tactics. Being able to make your team believe is what the very best managers do.

Nah actually Maureen Stole everything from bobby Robson not lvl

Also things evolve so even if Rodgers is a "product of" can gaal is still the old Neanderthal fossil in comparison <ok>

3 key difference

1. Lvg control Rodgers trust players

2. Lvg defensive Rodgers offensive

3. Lvg argumentative Rodgers bridge building

So in 3 years you can be sure Lvg will leave a better utd behind but it's a turgid, defensive mind one ready at best for mourinho while Rodgers will provide exciting attacking football
