  • Premier League

  • Champions League

  • FA Cup

  • League Cup

  • As much as Everton and Spurs!

Di Maria is a quality, if a little inconsistent and sometimes frustrating, player. The thing I don't understand is why they are spending such a massive chunk of money on a winger when they need CBs & CMs a lot more.

Hes a Central midfielder based on the past 12 months.

I think hes been signed as he gives options. How many world class players can play across the pitch?

But he's not a Vidal who is someone Utd could have done with. More of an Ozil type who may well struggle with the physicality of the premiership.
Should also be noted it's a report/ rumour from Guillem Balague who has not been too accurate this season

That's one if 3 unless psg trump utd but it seems ffp has influenced this one which of course is a positive

It seems the mata era is over and the slow non tracker backer is surplus after 6 months

Again spine. Good glad, cbs average, midfield average, attack very good

Needs a top cm and cb in the next week

I would not want him in midfield too often but its good to have the option.

I would take blind or de jong as a stop gap for now as inthink vidals knee is a concern. Hes not kicked a ball since the world cup.

We will likely sign strootman next summer too. Van gaal favourite.

In short if utd now play say a 4231 formation they can play all 4 of janusaj, Rooney and di Maria behind RvP but cms would be carrick and Herrera and cbs would be rojo and say jones

See what I mean... Put Vidal and another cb (hummels) in there and some sense start to be made and it looks better as an 11

Murmours of blind coming next week. Decent player if notjing special. Usually works out well when you sign ajax's best player

Sterling > Januzaj
Sturridge > Rooney
Balotelli < RVP
Coutinho = Mata
Lallana < Di Maria

Liverpool and United attack would look equal if we compare like for like.

Lol you could just about argue for sterling. Thats it.

Rooney and sturridge equal

The rest are all in uniteds favour.

Its however how they work together that matters.

Can add him to Shaw & Rojo to have depth in your squad at LB <whistle>

Now, just need 2 more CB's a RB and 2 CM's and you're sorted <ok>

You do know di maria played in midfield for madrid dont you?

Im not saying hes going to play centre midfield for us but hes more than capable of playing many roles.

Plus pace. Will make a huge difference to our attack which has at times been slow and static.

This is a vital point every pundit had been making about how easy it's been to defend v utd recently

We will see however strootman ain't young now and that'll be a short term move

Lol... Sterling has as much potential as Januzaj but Sterling been better over last 12 months.

Also Sturridge played as England no.9 in the World Cup and he played Rooney out wide in the first game.

Sterlings a year ahead of januzaj but if you compare them at the same stage januzaj was better. Upto him to continue it like sterling has.

England lol.
