Fabregas can be the new Lampard

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes midfielder Cesc Fabregas is well-placed to filling the position Frank Lampard occupied for 13 years.
Fabregas, 27, joined the club from Barcelona in June while Chelsea's record goalscorer Lampard left at the end of last season when he contract expired.
Mourinho told the Chelsea website: "Frank is the history of the club, history nobody can forget. Fabregas is the future; history is history but the future is more important at the moment.
"My opinion, and the opinion of my players, is that Fabregas is the right player to occupy that central position in midfield."

This is a bit rich isn't it? I lifted off the bbc... the NEW lampard? a bit insulting to the lad to be called fat before he even kicked a ball... has he put on that much weight over the summer?

Apparently we have the word home kit in the league this season.... even worse than Newcastles <yikes>

http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/08/from-...gue-home-shirts-ranked-best-to-worst-4792065/

Meh... I think it was Metro that ranked the World Cup shirts too and got it all wrong. Our home kit this year is nothing special- but not the worst.

Ugly :
Spurs
United (that sponsor logo ruins it)
Newcastle (reminds me of our dark grey "nautical" away shirt that Warrior did)
Arsenal
Swansea (would be one of best without sponsor logo- logo makes it hideous)

Meh:
Crystal Palace
WBA
Villa

OK:
Liverpool
Sunderland
Burnley
Stoke
Leicester
Everton
Manc City

Good:
QPR
Hull
Southampton
West Ham
Chelsea (probably best of season)

City's squad <yikes>

well this is just a 442 which nobody plays but if you are looking at it city might go 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 with a pivot midfield
I would have to say that there is varibality in the talent on display there, for example at CB and CM but otherwise the have a very strong line up..

howeve rif you do the same for us on paper our first 11 aint too bad and a second 11 might not be cried about just right now prior to sales

example

Mingolet
Manquillo Skertl Lovern Enrique
Can Gerrard Henderson
Sterling Sturridge Coutinho

Jones (puke)
Johnson(puke) Agger Sahko Flanagan
Allen Lucas
Lallana Markovic suso (or ibe)
Lambert

So seriously we cna't be complaining as we are still one forward shy and working on it AND on moreno too.

Really I just feel city have a lot of players BUT not all of them are top top despite rep while LFC now has a competitive set up BUT not just quite there yet. IT's like i said this team has a lot of strength but could find itself trophyless and looking at 6th in a very competitive league if something happens to sturridge. Then rodgers comes under pressure be it form within the club or outside.

I feel LFc season will be defined not by the games but by decisions made in the next 20 days. Buy a striker, buy a good un and we look good. Fail and it won't be as bad as sept 1 2 years ago but it'll be close... at least we've options and real pace aside from lambert.

for me the LFC one is simply bashing warrior for some hidden reason... perhaps the guy got a hand out form adidas who the f knows but the newcastle kit is god awful

how the hell can the guy be bashing one club for logo (even utd) then let swansea away with that massive hobbible logo on a plain white shirt???

I could say the same about everton btw.

What i notices is the plainer the kit the more they rated it... it could simply be an ould fella who'd want a kit out of the 60s.

I honestly think that the guys has no clue if he rates the swans kit high as 8th and then ours 20th given the fact that our kit just has a little white piping and thats about it.

Now if it were the first warrior kit SURE........ the minute that crap came out of the preorder box i thought total crap too.

I think City certainly have the best. I like the black on the light blue <ok>

Newcastle's is just horrible though. That massive black V at the top <yikes>

I don't mind Arsenal's actually yet it's 14th on their list. I definitely don't think ours is the worst, but it does look cheap.Swansea's would be my pick of the kits if it wasn't for the awful sponsorship logo, it has a classy old school look. Also is it wrong that I think the BS's shirt looks good (ish) !?

I like the Everton and Chelsea one.

I would say that most of the kits are "ruined" by logos of clashing colours.

CIty's kit only works cos the logo is dark navy and the trim on sleeves sort of matches.. the nike tick also matches as does small collar.

The swansea kit is yes "old school" but the logo for me is utterly ruinous.

Its far worse than utds, and frankly utd got 17 yet their kit is similar to Citys... they have white on collar, the tick and sleeve cuffs yet its only the logo?

nah i think there's a huge bias being applied..... how did villas kit get so high for example?

Totally agree on Swansea... would be fighting for best but that sponsor logo is hideous and brings it near to last.

Other than the fact it has "Chelsea" on it... Chelsea's shirt is very classy.

Struggling to see why our kit would be the worst in this guys eyes - it just isn't....

Think everyone else is of the same mind.

Look at Newcastle's, its hideous and yet ours is somehow worse? There really isn't much to say about our home shirt, its Red with some white lines on it and a yellow badge, the sponsor isn't garish or off putting. Its simple yes but not bad.

Arsenal's skin tight shirts just look like they ordered the wrong sizes and are now stuck with them. Man U's look cheap and tacky, and not just the sponsor logo, but the whole thing.

Think bias is a bit strong, it's just 1 persons opinion who has written the article. Just like our opinions differ in terms of the other kits.

It's not a "they're out to get us" article. I like City's because I like the black on blue and prefer it to red on white which is why it's nicer than United's in my opinion.

that may be fair but utd is 17th.... red white v blue navy. to my eye its all very much a muchness.

One logs big oh cheverolet is garish....

everotn are blue/white which an absolutely massive chang logo... yet is 5th

yes its all opinion but the difference to my opinion between all of these is really minor.. even leaving our kit aside.

Evertons in short is a mid table bland shirt nothing great nothing garish so... i honestly think its an ould fella who's not up for anything be traditional kits
