Roberto Martinez: Everton in survival fight, says manager

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has accepted that the club are in a relegation battle.

Martinez's side are six points above the relegation zone after winning one of their last 12 Premier League games.

Everton have 28 points from 28 games, their lowest total at this stage of a season in the Premier League era.

I completely object to you bringing my legitimate concerns from our board over to here Page. I shall be the bigger man and simply ignore this obvious baiting :bandit:

The overrated players one from the video above is a great point. Giggs has never been the best player at Man Utd, so I've no idea how he can be the best player in premier league history. His consistency was amazing and for someone to play on at the highest level for 24 years is incredible but I never felt that he was world class or one of the best in the world. He's always been overshadowed by the likes of Cantona, Scholes, Rooney, Van Nistelrooy, Beckham, Keane, Ronaldo etc.

At his peak he was world class imo. But I agree with that largely. I think it's the fact he's won so much. Now if we were talking about Nicky Butt, we could argue so what, but Giggs has been pivotal in much of our success so it's a fair argument to bring up winners medals. BUT as a player he was never as influential as Scholes. In later years Giggs played in midfield and was pretty inconsistent but as with Gerrard/Rooney now, the media seemed to wax lyrical when it was largely bollox. For me Scholes is the most important player we've had in the last couple of decades. 2006-2007 (the claiming back of the PL from Chelsea) largely gets mistaken for being Ronaldo's but really it was all about Scholes.

Scholes as a brilliant playmaker... Giggs was the favorite son for Ferguson

Scholes at his prime was the best player england had by far and he completely missed 90% of his england career for stupid reasons

Just saw you're post on the Utd board about diving Treb's, do you honestly think our penalty appeals were invalid?
Its a loaded question mate and will reveal either your bitter ABL'ness or you're honesty.<whistle>

Appeal is a strong word for the Balotelli claim, no Liverpool player appealed lol
