Still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 but if we are going to we need to win games like tomorrow when our rivals have dropped points.

You do realise he's going to dig a quote (or few) out now to prove he said it ages ago right?

Nah he's been arguing against his own graph with me when it predicted 71 points saying it WASN'T a prediction so I could dig out plenty of his quotes lol. I'm glad he's getting this [HASHTAG]#banter[/HASHTAG] lark though!

<laugh> so now that IS your prediction [HASHTAG]#makeitupasyougoalong[/HASHTAG]

I'll remind you of that again soon @astroturfnaut

A quote?

I made an entire thread about it <whistle>

http://www.not606.com/threads/astroturfnaut-is-a-football-genius.290608/

BTW here's the quote from 7 January:

Just for a bit of prediction game, I just want to officially nail down here that Man Utd will be under 70 points <ok>

As I said to you earlier, I never wanted to change it but it will inevitably continue with the co-called banter BS regardless.

Not arsed about banter as long as the point of the thread remains. It's inevitable along the way that there'll be banter but a whole thread dedicated to it or emphasising it is a waste of time and only encourages it imo, which means actual football debate gets lost

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney: "It is disappointing to go in front and then lose the game. I thought the performance was good, we dominated the game, particularly in the second half. Swansea were struggling to get out of their area but we couldn't get that second goal. They saw that out and got some luck with their goal.
"We created lots of chances but, in fairness, Swansea defended the box well. But we have to move on - it was one of those games.
"We certainly deserved to win the game. That's the disappointing thing, when you play well and can't get the win. But that's football."

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal: "Of course you can say we dominated the game but the only thing we could have done more was score more out of the chances we created. Today we were the unlucky team. I think we created enough chances. We were the dominant side in both halves.
"Conceding so quickly after opening the scoring was important. It was a throw in for Swansea and we should have been more organised. But it was a good goal by Swansea.
"Today we played well - only we forgot to score. We have to be more effective."

Why do Mancs think they dominated the game? Swansea had twice as many shots on target
[HASHTAG]#deluded[/HASHTAG]

Man Utd won the fouls 15-6 though <ok>

Any word from the flawed genius yet?, charts and stats excuse?

He's got the yoonited masses eating out of his hands yet he's no better for them than Moyes.<laugh>

At he point of me changing the thread title, it was being used as a banter thread only. I logged on last weekend and midweek but couldn't anything to do with the games being played at the time.

Tony Cottee on Sky Sports News "After 2-1 down, Man Utd haven't offered anything like they have previously. They didn't have lots of players attacking like previously"

Translation; LVG was trying to prove their not a long ball side and it backfired.
