Rawk meltdown had some posts claiming they should give up on the league, play only the reserves and just to make sure they dont get relegated after yesterday. Wonder how they feel now.

Don't agree with that but even if it was true it's no different to Brenda's innovative and ground breaking tactic of "give it to Suarez" last season. Only problem for this season is he replaced Suarez with Lambert and Balotelli!

Yeh I didn't get that at all either. I think that's more him trying to convince himself that's what happened, rather than acknowledging how well Blind, Herrera and Mata performed. The difference between Di Maria's effectiveness in the last game compared to this game was down to them three as much as him.

First time in a while our midfield has completely out classed another. A very long time.

Yeh, granted it was QPR but bloody hell that was good to see. Most of all, the players wanted the ball, and had more to their game than aimlessly working the channels and then passing it back. We have 3 world class players in our attack, which we haven't had in a fck of a long time. And it showed.

Don't see what you're so irked about, whats wrong with passing the ball to Di Maria constantly. It clearly works and if you have a player like that then why not?
If you noticed in my post earlier, I credited Blind, he's a massive improvement of 'sideways pass Carrick'. Mata looked better today, but that's cause he was feeding off Di Maria's good work and Herrera similar.

Did QPR have a midfield today? Only QPR midfielder I saw all game was Sandro and he spent most of his time defending.

Not irked at all. I just think you'd like to believe it was simply a case of "pass to Di Maria" when it was about a number of midfield performances. Blind and Herrera's movement, as well as Mata pulling the strings, helped to control the midfield. Without that, Di Maria would have only got so far. On the flip side, Di Maria pulling QPR players out created the space for them 3 to work the centre aswell so it was an all round performance. Put it this way, if that had been Fletcher, Anderson and Mata with Di Maria (almost the same as against Burnley), do you think Di Maria would have given an equally dominant performance, even against this poor QPR side?

Exactly. Our midfield made another midfield look invisible. Not happened for some time.

If fletcher, valencia, young and cleverley had played do you think it would have been different? I do.

Then you'd be wrong cos qpr say back on thier hands and their tactic was to let you have it. After green flogged the free kick half of them then gave up and never got tight

Let's just say it's time to see utd tested and while no doubt you enjoyed your arm chair view of proceedings today the next games need to follow it up

I think it's the bad pros who will have say up and taken notice. I think leicestervis where you follow it up

If you play well v Leicester and start an actual run there you might well get that reaction but there you go qpr deservedly got precisely what you meated out. But....... First goal a flog, perfect free kick, unintended consequence is a foam and from there qpr just surrendered ground and ran through the motions cos frankly if I had di Maria running at me space is the last thing I'd want to give him. He got lots of space and could pick his passes.

Honestly I expected 7-0 after second goal not just 4.

There improvement to come from utd so my erstwhile collegues here who wanted to write them off May just accept it now. My blog at the start of year looks like it wasn't just negative now

So that's that then. Utd fans convinced they're going to win the title this season now.

WTF, is this in code? <laugh>

I would agree with most of that, including the Leicester game. What I was saying about other teams taking notice was more about our home games btw. We have West Ham at home next. With each home performance mirroring today's, I think we'll get teams expecting to finish in the bottom half being less confident about pushing out than they were a month ago.
