yet another PR master stroke by NUFC ....................... the boy Bishop really knows his stuff doesn't he!!
Idiots. In a few years he'll be to sell out St James'. They should be right behind him the ****s. I hate our club
Seems a bit short sighted by the club. Nothing new there. All clubs do this and protect the "brand" at all costs. They are very careful because if you allow one to slip through the net, it can become difficult to defend legally in future cases. A smart club however would have got him to come in, explained things and worked out a way forward. Now they just look like overbearing twats again.
Please can it go back to being fun supporting nufc. This stuff is such bollocks. Surely they should be working with him to offer support to successful local sportsman. We haven't got much of a brand left to protect anyway.
Indeed and how do you think that came about? They got him in and controlled the situation. Like a proper club.
Greggs had a 2 for 1 on the day Charnley was supposed to sort it out ....................and being the only person 'running the club' it got lost under a sea of Steak Bake wrappers.
https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...n-title-with-another-destructive-knockout-win Sounds like the club have realised the cock up and at least tried to correct it.
He's doing great. Love to see him get a fight against lomachenko. That would be a massive stretch to get to that level but he's saying all the right things and building up his experience.
I wouldn't like to see him in with Lomachenko. Whether he can ever develop enough for that I doubt it to be honest. I like the lad though and he seems to be doing all the right things. I think he may need to change trainer from his father at some stage. Probably sooner rather than later unless they can bring someone into camp to help with his footwork. He is quite limited, too easy to hit and his power is getting him through at present. Once he steps up to world level, that will quickly get exposed. To be fair though I don't think I'd fancy anyone against Lomachenko, he is from another planet. Quite simply one of the best boxers I've ever had the pleasure of watching. He did have the flash knockdown against Linares but he didn't look hurt. A lesson for any aspiring young boxer in how important footwork is to reach the very top. To make him do ballet instead of boxing seemed like a mad thing to do by his father, but just shows what a great brain and understanding of the fight game his father had. Mind I'm not sure about his and Usyk's moves in this...
loma is the absolute nuts in the ring though. I agree, struggle to think of anyone I've ever seen that's better to watch.
