I know I am guilty of this myself, but can we rise above naming poster's from pure football and their way of posting?

No problems with quoting an update if it's relevant football related, like the latest from GOM.

Let's just keep away from mentioning poster's who are upsetting you on another forum. I've managed to ween myself off posting on pf, but it's still worth a read as there are some great poster's / friends and fellow Sunderland fans with useful information.

That's fair enough and I try to do that, despite the odd slip.

You will find this will happen every time there's a raft of bannings though ...

... thankfully more and more decent Sunderland posters at least know there's a good alternative.

As you say there's a lot of good lads over there, shame the loons get all the attention.

Yep and best we don't give them any attention over here

Had enough of the place - to be fair though I do quite like the Cricket forum on there - its probably the place I post the most now - barely venture onto PF as i end up getting banned for calling out the absolute ****ehawk WUMS on there.

I went back after a long ban, just to put the record straight and provoke another ban.

I could go back but it's too much like hard work.

pocked up another warning today, I only made one post. I know exactly what I said it if they a warning then the place needs closing down. To many wums are protected.

Once you're a marked man you may as well quit go down fighting.

You're left with a choice of compromising what you say, becoming untrue to yourself and not responding to abuse ....

... or saying what you mean, being honest, responding in kind and accepting you'll eventually tot up enough bans & warnings to be banned permanently.

It's better tbh, you can still read it, for the info and good lads, but you don't have to spend ages defending yourself from clowns who think they're desperately funny.

It wasn’t even contentious

I said : Vauxie must be responsible for a few bans on here, he brings you down to his level and then you end up arguing with a 60yr old child.

Rarely venture onto PF, tend to stay on SMB and Politics, although occasionally have a glimp at the 'Random Lasses.....' thread. Some bonny lasses on that one. CBA with calling out all of the loons, WUMs, trolls, bores and dickheads on there, they know who they are.

I got banned on there, but no reason was given. I asked why I'd been banned, but nobody replied. **** em, they don't deserve my wit and modesty.
i was going to paste something really witty to that but thought better of it as your not a bad lad, cant wait for you to be a cnut cos i dont know how long i can hold on its begging a response.........<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

18 years I've been posting on there, more if you include the time before it changed to it's present format. Naturally, things have changed a lot in that time. Many of the older, more sensible posters have moved on (literally in some cases) and the place seems awash with kids and/or immature cry babies who just want to pick fights and demand that the manager gets the sack after 1 defeat. It's a real shame to see the way it's going. I think that I'll still dip into the cricket forum, but for now I much prefer the mature* conversations on this forum. Long may it continue

I also venture onto a couple of newspaper comments... atm Suzanne Moore was hounded out of the Guardian for comments about Trans people... however even mentioning her name in a comment n another columnist gets you banned... Torygraph is fine about (probably like the granudids discomfort)
