One of my very favourite comedy characters, RIP Bill Maynard. I watched an interview with him when he started making a comeback after paying the Inland Revenue. When asked what went wrong he said, "I suddenly found myself earning all this money and I foolishly thought I was allowed to keep some of it!" Priceless.
