    Sad loss - am due to see Steely Dan at the O2 in October - this may not happen now with his the untimely departure. RIP Walter - rock on in Heaven.

    It will probably still go ahead, they've been playing without him for a couple of months since he had a "procedure" in hospital.

    Yes, borne out by a short obituary in the Times today, saying he missed some U.S. recent gigs "as he recovered from an unspecified ailment."

    And now the Heff has popped his clogs, can heaven be any better than the playboy mansion? Or is he going to the fiery bowls of hell? If heaven precludes him on lifestyle choice then maybe hell would be a better fit! That said they're both fairy stories, he's worm food like the rest of us!
