Peter Dimmock. Shaped sport on the BBC in the beginning of TV. Contributed as a presenter, producer and executive. Grandstand and Match of the Day were brought in during his watch and he was a regular presenter of the former.
To be fair I was astonished when I heard he had died, as I thought he died years ago. He came across as rather posh, but they all did in those days.

He wasn't posh, just didn't speak as though he was a moron with glottal stops and estuary English.
Give me his measured tones over today's lot who get in a state of hysteria over the most mundane things.

Andy Johns, the veteran producer and engineer who worked on classic albums by Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and many others, has died at the age of 61. The news was confirmed to Billboard.biz by guitarist Stacy Blades, who was working on an untitled project with Johns until the producer was hospitalized last week.

that link's dated April 2013 Stan?
 
Thats Jimmy Ruffin and Andy Johns who both died last year and Fast Eddie who didnt die.

Should we be contacting Stan's next of kin??
