My Nephew Age 48.
Fell over last monday early hours.
Went to bed, didnt wake up
Massive brain Bleed
Dont think it was caused by the fall.
Only with him sunday he was fine
Never been ill in his life
Dad of the juniors

So sorry to hear this Scarbs. Be strong for them juniors. You're the man for that job.

Agree Polly, very sad, and what a lovely, lovely family. To be staring down the barrel of a bleak disease, knowing there is no happy ending, very courageous to have the get up and go for all the fundraising to help others. Inspirational. I guess we'd all like to think in similar circumstances we would all be able to do the same, but very few can.

Jesus. Condolences both Scarbs and Polly. They both sounded like good blokes for different reasons.
**** Filey. Really genuinely sorry to hear that. Same thing happened with my Mum, bleed to the brain. It haunts me, it really does to this day as I was with her 10 minutes after it happened and foolishly I thought she would be OK as I was asking her questions which she was able to answer fairly coherently.
Devastating loss and you have my deepest sympathy and of course your nieces.

Condolences from me too mate, me mam was just reading the Hull Daily Mail berevements ( old folk do that ) and she thought there was someone from your side as she recognised the names.
Be strong for the kids and their mam.

God mate I'm so sorry to hear that fella. Words fail me. All I can say is just try and be strong, crap words I know.
Sorry to hear your sad news, Scarb. Terrible for the Mum and her girls. Commiserations to all.
Scar, we just never know. Keep well yourself and look after them juniors.
We had a talk about this awhile ago.
I really think some of these rugby lads, league and union, are going to be in a bad way, with the hits they are taking, in the years after they retire.
Yes, but this awful disease has nothing to do with taking hits. I had an aunty die of motor neurone disease and all I can say after seeing what she went through I wouldn't be as brave as this bloke was. Coward that I am I would end my life before it took hold.
Not getting into an argument about it on this thread but a bloke I know contracted mnd and his specialist told him all the hits given and taken played a large part.
