A very long-standing mate of mine, and an absolute gem of a man. If he hadn't been such a great rugby player, he would've been an equally outstanding footballer, golfer, cricketer, or just about any sport he turned his hand to.

Devastating news. My aunties nephew Simon Smith died of the same illness a few years ago. He was well known in Rugby Union circles locally. Horrible disease.
