You want to. Had my first dog, a rescue dog for 18 years. Didn't want to through that again but a couple of weeks later someone who worked with my wifesaid her daughter had found a little terrier puppy sat shivering at the side of the road and taken it home. Her dog wouldn't accept it so she had taken it to the RSPCA and said she would pay any costs as long as they kept it until somebody gave it a home. I went to see him and said straight away that we would have him. Had him for 11 years. The wife didn't like been without a dog so we then got another rescue dog who was about 4 years old. Had him for 12 years until last August. Still have another rescue terrier we got 4 years ago when he was less than a year old to keep the other company. Amazing how they bonded, the younger one used to look after him, always checking he was OK.
They were all different in their own way but have given so much pleasure. Dogs are a lot more preferable than a lot of people. I would say go for it.

Anyone who loves dogs is OK. Those who love dogs and support City are the pick of the bunch.

This is what I will probably do, my sister does a couple of days a week at the rescue in South Cave, so once I am ready to get another one I will ask her to sort one out for me.

Agree with your comments also about dog owners and city fans.

Had mine for 18 years too he was a rescue .. and my previous one for 14... every time I watch Supervet or Paul O'Grady, I find myself on Animal Welfare Trust and even called into the Dogstrust on the Leeds outer Ring Road about two weeks ago.... so I'm hovering and will get onto it very very soon.

Get a blue Staffie mate, hardy breed, long living, and the best temperament, well mine is anyway, of any dog that I've ever had

Brilliant dogs are staffies. Had mine about 8 years. Also a rescue. He lies on the landing at night guarding the kids rooms. If the youngest has a nap during the day he parks himself outside the bedroom door and will only move when the youngest wakes up. A ****ing nightmare with other animals tho....
