Tara Palmer-Tomkinson who had been diagnosed with a brain tumour has died aged 45.

Bit of a shocker.

Not wanting to be disrespectful, her name always reminds me of an example given to show the difference between US and British troops.
During the war in Afghanistan, the British and American forces were involved in really heavy fighting with the Taliban. The worst of the fighting was in and around the caves of Tora Bora. The American forces dubbed them, ‘The Caves of Death’. The British forces referred to them as, ‘Tora Bora Tomkinson’.

Yet another classic example of someone who was rubbished and ridiculed on a regular basis while alive , but upon death people change their tune.
Wealth, fame and glamour- yet ultimately she was miserable and lonely it seems.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was someone I quite liked. If she had been a bloke folk would have said she was a bit of a character. She had been fighting cancer for a year and just got on with it; what a bloody pity she died alone and was found.
