Bloody awful reading the text sent by the young Vietnamese girl to her mum from the back off the wagon where the people died... what must they have been going through. Just torturous....

It's shocked everyone here, having lived here now for 2 years, I can't see why they would spend £30K to get to the UK, as now the government as opened up free trade the place is booming, and a rather nice place to live.

I'm just in the process of building a house here, not necessarily to stay but as an investment for my children, as it costing £20K to build a 3 bedroom place.

Good away trip that. Only a couple of coaches but memorable for the breadcrumbs in the turnups incident resulting in a late arrival at the game.

Remember it well. OB had us make a collection for the stuff nicked from the road side café, and kept us back until they'd got enough money off us. Was that the trip we stopped off at a village pub on the way home in the middle of nowhere, pitch black, no street lights and the locals took a dislike to us ?

Yes. Bus stopped by police and taken to Sleaford. Police said they were examining turnups for breadcrumbs to see who had been eating the purloined bacon sandwiches. Had to have whip round to pay off the old biddy whose cafe it was and for the knives and forks which were not found as they had been lobbed out of the bus at some overtaking greaboes .
Me and my opponent along with Mike F, Tony E and Lorraine were wearing staprests with no turn-ups so went across to the pub and knocked a few pints back. Good job another road block stopped us later as we were busting by then. After all that the police insisted the bus dropped us off outside their Kop End.<laugh>
Was that the village where it kicked off with the locals over a game of table football?

Stu Matthewman just shared this sad news on Facebook, his partner in the jazz due Twin Danger has been killed in a car crash, along with her kids. Heartbreaking.

(October 28, 2019) We are sad to report the death of singer, songwriter and guitarist, Vanessa Bley, in a tragic California auto accident. The daughter of late jazz pianist Paul Bley and pioneer video artist Carol Goss, Bley was best known as front woman for haze-pop band Beast Patrol, noted Band to Watch by Rolling Stone, and the jazz-noir group Twin Danger, described as "The Sound Of Frank Sinatra Meets The Clash" by NPR. Bley, 34, and two children were killed after being struck by a vehicle that crossed over the double yellow lines near Cold Spring Bridge near Santa Barbara.

Incredibly sad news. The driver of the vehicle that hit her vehicle head on had deliberately swerved onto her side of the road he was suicidal and unfortunately has survived so far. Bley and her two very young children all perished.
