Anthony Head, been in many things but to me he’s from Buffy , RIP
Just been reading about the Nescafé adverts from late eighties / Early nineties , had a vague recollection of them but I was only a nipper . A story unfolding over 6 years and the resolution made front page news . What a contrast to modern day , my kids get angry if they have to wait 10 seconds to skip an advert

Peabo Bryson, who has died aged 75 after a stroke, earned himself the nickname of the Voice of Love, thanks to his smooth and mellifluous singing and his string of memorable duets with female singers, including Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole and Minnie Riperton. He credited Flack with giving him the key to the art of duetting.

“I think the secret to a really good duet is that you have to fall a little bit in love with your duet partner,” he told Tatler Asia in 2015. “I was very fortunate in finding a duet partner in Roberta Flack who really knew what a duet was, and knew how to play to a person’s strengths and weaknesses equally. I learned how to do a great duet from working with Roberta Flack because she’s that great.”

His 1983 album of duets with Flack, Born to Love, enshrined their collective musical chemistry and earned a gold disc, and its opening track, Tonight, I Celebrate My Love, gave them an international hit, reaching No 2 on the UK charts.

Kenny Jackett, a legendary figure in Watford's history, has died aged 64, the LMA have announced.

Jackett sits eighth on the list of all-time Hornets appearances, having played 428 matches in a one-club playing career between 1980-90.

He then became a hugely successful coach, which began at Watford before stints as manager at Swansea City, Millwall, Wolves, Rotherham, Portsmouth and Leyton Orient.

The LMA paid tribute to "one of the most respected managers to have plied their trade in the EFL" and described Jackett as a man "with quiet dignity".

The acclaimed British artist David Hockney has died at the age of 88, his publicist has said.
A statement said: “The celebrated British artist David Hockney, one of the most important figures in contemporary art in both the 20th and 21st centuries, passed away peacefully at home on 11 June 2026, one month short of his 89th birthday.”
David Hockney RIP, amazing that he left California to live in Bridlington for a while with his sister and paint the Yorkshire Wolds.

RIP Kenny Jackett.

I recall Taylor going and his name was mentioned by several people, including me on Blunderside....We ended up with Parkinson, then Brownie. So I suppose it didn't work out too bad. I always thought Jackett did well with limited resources. His passing is a sad loss to football.
