Was there a need for a huge **** off JCB? With a handful of laps to go. The Fia try be safe but like bhaji said they couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery.

They're not designed to hit solid metal, especially something like that with all the bits that stick out of it.

The car will have shattered. Only hope is the back of the car took the brunt of the impact.

He shouldn't be putting out information that he does not know to be true. Kavitz said the helicopter wasn't even at the circuit as it couldn't fly in this morning, though I thought the helicopter HAD to be at the circuit for the race to take place.

I thought a helicopter had to be in attendance as well .

It's there I believe, just wasn't safe to take off.

Thoughts with Jules Bianchi now. Waiting for more news #JapaneseGP- H Kovalainen

An actual shot of Bianchi's car, not good:

It could just be he was knocked unconcious ans nothing else.

Yeah, it could just be that. FIA to be fair can only report on his condition. They would not wish to release anything else at this stage that they did not know to be true.

I would imagine "Unconscious" is the only description we're going to get for perhaps a couple of hours now.

Bianchi's car is now back in pitlane with the FIA apparently.

Lets just see what happens. That second shot doesn't look to bad. I hope it's just a shock injury. Not that I even wish injury just to make it clear.

Sky have interviewed Sutil, his expression doesn't suggest this is minor.

By the looks of the car, I wonder whether he's had a similar accident to Sutil, coming out of the corner backwards and hit the JCB rather than tyres with his back left corner.

Apparently photos show the marshals clearing up the remains of the airbox of the Marussia, as the airbox is located right over the driver's head, that's got me really worried.

Sutil: "Situation with Bianchi is critical. Hope he is in good hands. I was standing right next it. Don't want to talk about details."

"Jules had the same spin there. It was the same crash. Outcome was a bit different." - Sutil
