They're not designed to hit solid metal, especially something like that with all the bits that stick out of it. The car will have shattered. Only hope is the back of the car took the brunt of the impact.

I would imagine "Unconscious" is the only description we're going to get for perhaps a couple of hours now. Bianchi's car is now back in pitlane with the FIA apparently.

Sky have interviewed Sutil, his expression doesn't suggest this is minor. By the looks of the car, I wonder whether he's had a similar accident to Sutil, coming out of the corner backwards and hit the JCB rather than tyres with his back left corner.
Apparently photos show the marshals clearing up the remains of the airbox of the Marussia, as the airbox is located right over the driver's head, that's got me really worried.
