Sad to hear that the very fine South Shields born actor, John Woodvine, has died today aged 96. Probably best known for his role as the doctor in "An American Werewolf In London". Older ones might remember him in "When The Boat Comes In" as Les Mallow and more recently he appeared as Frank Gallagher's dad in "Shameless".
