Good point actually. Could have had severe bipolar. If he had that, then all his good moods and speaking about the future are just irrelevant if he has a very very bad turn.

Well, apprantely with depressives, they have a massive high, just before they commit suicide. So, looking all happy and enthusiastic on football focus, could have been this 'high'.
 
The best tribute I can think of for Speedo is that I still call any pin-point cross field pass 'the Gary Speed pass'.

RIP Gary and thanks for the memories.
 
A Book of Remembrance has been set-up at the FAW offices in Cardiff and an area has been set aside for a Garden of Remembrance outside.

So sad to think that from the outside someone who has so much to look forward to was internally in such turmoil that he took his own life, just a sad sad waste.

The one thing about this I keep thinking is that he did this at this own home, apparently his wife and kids weren't their.

Makes you think something has kicked off and his wife took the kids and left for whatever reason that night.

Whatever happened he'll be missed.
 
BBC Radio Newcastle will re-broadcast a special Gary Speed interview from the 2003/04 season in tribute to him. That goes out tonight (Monday) at 6.30pm.
