Sad news Argus or Geoff Storey has gone to the big match in the sky.
RIP mate
RIP mate
Does that surprise you, Bob? Look at some of the jokers we’ve had here in recent times.I attended Geoff's funeral today, NOT 1 person from the club attended, after i gave SD a text on the day he passed, we seem to have lost our soul.
i spoke to Bally about it, he felt the same, what a shame we can't even send a representative from the club.

Unfortunately this, great memories never the less, never to be forgottenTo be fair the last Sunderland manager Geoff was involved with was Peter Reid, that's a long time ago.
Sadly the Echo has become a sad shadow of what it was and the relationship with the club had faded long ago.
Donald and Methven, and the way they destroyed the fabric of the club, ruined many of the various links to the past.
KLD has had to rebuild the entire club and bring in a new staff who know nothing about the old days.
He's only 25 years old himself so wasn't even born when Geoff retired.
The soul of the club is in a much better state than it ever was under Short or Donald and his mate.
People of our age have nostalgic memories of Argus, peanuts and Roker pies but that past is rapidly becoming a distant country.
He did it was a good but sad dayDoes that surprise you, Bob? Look at some of the jokers we’ve had here in recent times.
Regardless, I hope Geoff had a good send off.
I stand correctedHe did mate, there was a scrap book full of bits yesterday.
