I would however like to add the extra time spent on here over the last couple of days when I would have far preferred to watch the cricket!
So OFH if it isnt a problem to you please dont create multiple personas as shown by the last few days it is hard enough as it is to deal with powerful and emotive topics!
Ak and Brag was funny , This to be frank has been very tedious and time consuming!
I have to check , but I think having multiple characters is if not against site rules , is frowned upon !

I enjoy conversing with friends yes ! I dont enjoy the firefighting, I am busy enough as you know ! Funnily enough you and your persona have taken more of my "freetime" than you would think ! Only reason I am here often is down to smart phones and wifi hotspots around airport terminals!!

HEHE, it just seemed odd, as the opinions and the style of writing seemed very familiar, so i paid a quick visit to the Mod control panel and typed in the names and got a matching Registration IP for both. It was a bit of luck really.

I apologise to all for overstepping the mark with my comments here. While I was entitled to defend myself, and retain that mods do need to think very carefully about the potential knock-on effects of actions they take, neither of those things condone the level of hostile language that I used, or entitle me to tell a mod (who I voted for and on balance do not regret voting for) how to do his or her job.

I'm very sorry for any offence caused, and am glad to see that the board has more or less gotten back to normal in the meantime.

Although I much prefered the Vic terrace she found that she could see more being only 5'.1" On the rare occassions we get there now it is the Rous that some dislike, but I would be happy to just get a seat anywhere in the ground.

Hey NNW, i am glad to see you around and i am certain Norway will be too. He was worried we might have lost you and a few others who we all value very highly. I must appologise for my part in all the commotion and am glad you are able to return now.

Yes - I could not think straight - I tell you what - it is actually a nightmare experience and one I don't recommend to anyone - trying to act as two different people is just crazy

T takes a lot of training. I have had to do it for about 8 years now and just learnt to ignore them a bit and I have found ways to control myself. Dont feel bad about what you did as we all know you well and know you and a great guy really.

Art/Leo - I think the discussion should be bigger than if parents work or not, it should also include how parents bring up their children within their family environment and that includes discipline. Also I don't think there is any need for a "new way", it is about personal responsibility and taking ownership - nowdays people are looking to blame someone else for their problems instead of looking to themselves and accepting personal responsibility. In the past people took responsibility for themselves and their families - today some just have to blame all around them i.e. Police, Teachers, Bankers MP's for their ill's.

More importantly where is Queenie and Family Royal when we need them ? Are they still on honeymoon duty or bothering the wildlife in Balmoral ?

In the past people took responsibility for themselves and their families - today some just have to blame all around them i.e. Police, Teachers, Bankers MP's for their ill's.

Never a truer word At one point in time, teachers were respected in their communities and their professionalism was recognised by all and sundry. Not so now - the respect has been continually eroded to the point that the ignorant in society view them as little more than child minders, and the word professionalism is generally viewed as no longer pertinent to teaching. Strangely enough, I can pinpoint the period when this erosion commenced - it was exactly the same point in time when parents were given greater say in how schools were run, what their little darlings were taught and what discipline could be utilised. As their 'power' shot up, ours shot down and nothing will change until the balance is restored.

Speaking as a teacher who wants his life and respect back!

Some of you may have seen this, but i think it sums up a lot of peoples beliefs.

Common sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults are in charge not children)
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of an 8 year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student, but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims,
Common sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common sense finally gave up the will to live, after a women failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common sense was preceded in death, by his parents, truth and trust
His wife, discretion
His daughter, Responsibility
His son, reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on if not, join the majority and do nothing.

Just Leo thanks - (if someone tells me how to kill HornArt ( ie delete him from the site I will) I don't disagree with any of what you say as usual W_Y. It IS about far more than parents working. My point though was that a generation ago when a parent was at home raising our kids had not degenerated as it has now. Unfortunately though we now seem to have a generation that has not been brought up responsibly by some and it is growing worse - when kids are not taught where boundaries lie they find their own and that for some is fine but for others a disaster. The lack of respect for teachers, police, anyone in authority stems from the failure to "educate" children from their nursery years
