Film of the day: The Story of the Weeping Camel, starring Janchiv Ayurzana...very good watch!

Anyone that has Twitter should know what I mean.
I am trying to be as objective as possible throughout this case but the guy is a moron.
Having cheated a drugs test and then claimed he "forgot", he has the audacity to accuse Terry (albeit subtly) of being a liar.
The most upsetting thing about this whole ordeal for me is that the issue of racism in sport has been overlooked. It's just become Anton v JT. Nobody is interested in the real issue, just an opportunity to slander Terry and Anton.
I've never claimed to be the perfect individual but if it were my brother on trial I wouldn't be posting anything on social networking sites or do anything that could influence the trial, best thing you can do is just be there. To use the trial to publically slander Terry is sick. Given the torrid time Anton has been through ,the death threats and abuse etc I struggle to see how any individual with morals can be taking pleasure and enjoyment out of this trial
Twisted individual. But I'd expect nothing less from a drugs cheat who assaults female stewards and his own fans.
Respect!! Good to see someone with a bit of common sense on this thread.I know us football fans are passionate, and tend to have dips and troughs with our team, but come on... There's enough hate on this forum right now, otherwise I'd suggest you were around 15, or simply about ready to hump a football! That's some serious obsession...
Anyway, let's examine this claim. "Rio Ferdinand the most loathsome individual on the planet"... Ok, so let's excuse all the rapists and murderers, dictators, bent politicians, child abusers, mackems (just kidding... like the child abusers (joke))... Rio Ferdinand, former England captain, Manchester United captain... The man associated with numerous charities, who simply uses twitter as one of those players who enjoys a closer relationship with fans... Oh yes, he's a real prick for supporting his brother with this obscure reference. I agree, it's probably not clever (HELLO... THESE ARE FOOTBALLERS), but it's hardly incitement reinstate the third reich.
The hyperbole is unnecessary just because you're angry. It's purely supposed to incite hatred, so really it's a bit pathetic. If it was your brother who it appeared was racially abused(though I agree with the doubt, so I don't condone calling Terry a racist), I'm sure you'd grow up a bit and beat the living **** out of whoever it was, whether they were acquitted or not in the eyes of the law, nevermind spout something vague about them on twitter.
I'm sure you'll pay no attention, and boo him when he comes to yours, as well as Anton. Just note that'd leave other supporters questioning your motives...

I'm an oldie who doesn't twitter (whatever that is), but surely the point here is the bloke who brought the charges here is the man who should be in the stocks! Ferdy is a twat and all that , but at least he was happy to sort his business out on the pitch rather than the courts!
I don't generally use twitter but it has been useful to me this week in keeping up with trial events.
The impression I've got is Anton Ferdinand really didn't want to get involved with this at all and was reluctant to speak to police. Seemed to me like case was being pushed by people around Ferdinand, rather than Ferdinand himself.
BTW Ferdinand wasn't in court today to hear the verdict. Make of that what you will.

...wrong..It was in fact Anton's agent. But hey ho,why let facts blur your vision.Yep,Rio was the driving force hence this thread.

Blimey, the chavs are in bitter mode tonight.

Alan, no offence mate, but what exactly do we have to be bitter about? Our captain has been cleared of racism charges by court of law, I'm over the moon mate. It's the rest of the forum who are bitter![]()
Most on here are acting sensibly but then you have the few who are lambasting Rio and Anton like it was them who made the accusations in the first place. Truth is if my brother was up in court then i would be supporting him 100% and this is what Rio is doing by supporting his brother yet we have some who cant see that.
