Fine then, take some other variant which you don't choose to be.

Ginger bastard, tall bastard, short bastard, spazzy bastard, funny-looking bastard, big-nosed bastard.

How is any of those inherently worse than 'white bastard'?

i will not go into a pointless argument ... !! ok .. we disagree.. let us go for a neutral referee and see if law see it as racist or not
why you avoiding to make the bet? if you are certain it is racist .. comn make the bet
You're the one who claims that "choc ice" means fake, but you have no evidence to back it up.Why are you avoiding my bet?

You must log in or register to see images

Bye bye.

he he
comn why not betting ?
i told you my evidence and all UTD fans here explained it to you .. that is not offensive to white people and Rio was stating he was fake

you are certain your version is the correct one.. comn cut off your sissy game and accept the bet .. there is no excuse here that you are refusing to take the bet .. only conclusion am having is you chickened out when things got serious

he he ....how pathetic you call me a chicken when you refuse to bet on what we are disagreeing and worst you leaving like a coward in heat of my pressuring you to take the bet and stand by your point

What a ****ing clown shoe.<ok>

Come back Matth, it seems you're not the most clueless and irritating United supporter after all.

It's no wonder the majority of members on this board are embarrassed when ****-wits like you are representing them.

If you mention your ****ing ******ed bet one more time I'll......Whatever.

Hey, maybe he calling Ashley a frozen turd.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=choc ice

He meets all three descriptions, somwhat.

Come on Shwan. By the standards the FA set themselves over not believing Suarez's 'slang' version of the word negro you simply cannot expect anyone believes 'choc-ice' purely means fake, without any racial connotations whatsoever.

I havent read all the responses but most of them and here is my tuppence worth

As a minority reading some of this it appears some are bringing the 'white man' issue into this when there isnt one.

The terms coconut, choc ice, uncle tom etc are linked to 1 person and 1 person only, in this case ashley cole. It has no bearings on terry or any other white person

secondly it has nothing whatsoever to do with being mixed race

If anything it refers to a person tryin to be something they are not. However the colour connotations with coconut/choc ice and the history of 'uncle tom' make it no no's for certain groups of society. No different thn the N word amongst black americans

Rio was unwise to say what he did on a public forum, however if he had said it to cole face to face it wouldnt have been racist in any context
the words used by suarez and terry would be

"however if he had said it to cole face to face it wouldnt have been racist in any context
the words used by suarez and terry would be"

Says who? <rofl>

well the law for one

lets put it this way if rio met cole or any other black guy met another black guy and said 'choc ice' there maybe a scuffle and resultant sentencing but not on grounds of racial discrimination

If suarez went upto a black guy and used the words he said he used he there would be a scrap and grounds for racial discrimination

If terry (or any white person) went upto a black/mixed race person and used the words black ****...............you can guess the rest

Bottom line the case might be thrown out or not guilty verdicts reached, however there would be 'grounds'. rio not a chance, it would be laughed at by the CPS

To summarise - white guy says something that refers to a person's skincolour then says it not racistFA panel, Clark Carlisle, Lord Ousley, Luther Blisset, Paul Mcgrath, Alex ferguson, C4 news, Jason Roberts, Martin Samuel, James Lawton, the rest of Fleet St disagree.

Black guy says something that refers to a person's skin colour then says it's not racist. FA panel and all the cast above stay silent.

Conclusion: no need for fancy and expensive panels and drawn out procedures and rules. Just ask Rio (or another available black person) what is or isn't racist.

And so would the Suarez case have been! And btw, check out the law about using a public forum. If any reader (white or black) comes across te conversation and is offended by it then it is potentially a case for investigaton. It also breaks the FA's code of conduct too.

I'm part Chinese. I could go up to a fellow oriental and say "Yo, Chinky bro" (not that we do that stuff). I shout that acrossa railway platform and ANYONE offended has the right to complain and take it further. These are the rules/laws that have been created within society and orgainisaions to protect ALL from discrimination. despite what you and Rio may think, it isn't a buffet selection where you can select which interpretations you agree with and decide yourself which ones don't apply to you because of 500 years of hstory.

well....let us see what FA and police will say about it

Judging by the silence of the usual pressure groups and shrill journalists on all things 'racist', I'm sure Rio can use as many references to skin colour, ethnicity, and whatever else and the law and the FA will be petrified to even ask him to answer the phone for fear the special Panorama editions and threats of breakaway black players' unions.

actually the law HAS made it a buffet selection, but thats another issue
I dont think you get it tbh. being offended and being racist are totally different.
I am asian myself, black guys calling each other nigga is offensive to me, but I couldnt make a racism claim

under the rules/laws both suarez and terry could face prosecution for racism, rio wouldnt

also discrimination and racism are not the same thing

News Twitter race row: Police investigate over Ashley Cole 'choc ice' tweet that Rio Ferdinand found so funny July 16, 2012 | Printable Version Previous | Next Rio Ferdinand Police have confirmed they are investigating comments made by Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand on Twitter. The 33-year-old defender appeared to back an attack on his former England team-mate Ashley Cole with a message which referred to him as a 'choc ice'. Cole, 31, gave evidence in support of team-mate and Chelsea captain John Terry, who was later acquitted of a racially aggravated public order offence. In a tweet that has now been deleted, Ferdinand wrote: "I hear you fella! Choc ice is classic hahahahahahha!!" Some Twitter users criticised Ferdinand for repeating the term - which can be used about black people who are seen to have betrayed their race. Later Ferdinand tried to play down the row, tweeting: "What I said yesterday is not a racist term. Its a type of slang/term used by many for someone who is being fake. So there." A number of people have lodged complaints with the Metropolitan Police and Greater Manchester Police. It is understood those complaints are now being dealt with by Derbyshire Constabulary as the original 'choc ice' comment is believed to have been posted by someone in the county. A force spokeswoman said: “We can confirm Derbyshire Constabulary is investigating complaints following alleged racist comments made on Twitter.” Last week Terry was cleared of a racially aggravated public order offence at Westminster magistrates' court. It was alleged he had maliciously called Rio's brother Anton, who plays for Queens Park Rangers, a '******* black ****' in a match on October 23 last year.

The point is that Cole was called a choc ice because he testified for a white man. That is the racist part.
In other words Cole should have sided with the black man. In other words the racist slur is actually against Cole and JT.

This is what people fail to see!

Rio was agreeing with a racial slur against Cole! However, because Rio is black and Cole is black it will not get the same attention! Clark Carlisle has said that the term is loaded with both racial and discriminatory intention, but you can guarantee it will not go much further!

That is the way it is these days..

Be interesting to see how many of that 'number of people' are bitter Liverpool or Chelsea fans who just want to try and stir up some race controversy around a Utd player. After all, if I go to the police and claim that Luis Suarez called me a honky, and a couple of my Utd supporting mates back me up, they would still have to investigate, even if it was obvious BS.

Kinda makes me miss living in Russia. At least there you knew the police would only investigate something if Vlad the Mad told them to <ok>

By that same measure, if I call Nick Griffin a white supremacist am I being racist? After all, that makes him a white man who is against black men. Any difference in your opinion?

and the moral of the story is?

that everyone backs the player that represents their club regardless of who is wrong or right..either that or im witnessing one of the biggest coincidences ever....with lots of over disecting..yet each one of you will probably taunt oppo players fo being fat, wife beaters..cheaters etc etc..as for the OP..he hasnt posted this article as a concern but more so to provoke negative debate and indirectly wum...fukoff twat <ok>

sorry the actual moral is that fans are not honest but blind without their own opinions but of the opinion that suits their cub.

in the real world..Terry would be regarded as racist and rightly so and 'choc ice' would mean no more than what it is meant to..and the people that are pretending it meant more than what Rio basically said..are only stirring that pot in order to dilute the fact that it is Terry who is the true racist......all these people that are up in arms about the 'choc ice' bit are probably white..and those of an ethnic standing understand exactly what it means because the truth is everyone who is a non white has an additional cultural influence..be it Asian,African,West Indian etc...and when an ethnic notices a fellow ethnic showing traits that seem to suggest that one has no care or pride in thier ethnic bckground usually gets called a 'choc ice'..'coconut' etc......it is a reflection on the ethnic not on the white person..wether this politically correct country likes it or not.....some of us have culturally defined aspects of our daily lives and thinking, and not just that what is acceptable for 'white' Britian..but for some reason white people seem to think this means that ethnics have an issue with whites..which it does not..it has a problem with ethnics who are not ready to fight their corner just so that they 'fit in' when 'fitting in' is not supposed to be a priority in this so called Democracy...i think it is a white person's insecurity if he has a problem with one black man telling another that he seems to have forgotten his roots a bit and should have not given evidence which has aided racism...like it or lump it but forget this pc **** but ethnics suffer from racism more and more should be done about it and Ashley Cole just aided the diluting of something negative.
