I can't see how ? Its not as if Murray can use his popularity with the Charlton fanbase as leverage - he is almost universally despised these days. And he presumably wouldn't have T&Cs in his deferred loan/debt that could enable him to stop a takeover...doesn't he get his £2.7m back in certain circumstances, regardless of the owner? Dave White has previously stated that half of the 7 ex Directors still owed money haven't been approached by anyone about anything. Its all bollox. RD and Murray have used the Useful Idiot from VOTV to smoke out potential buyers by planting Fake News ..only there aren't any ...
No, I can't see how either. I used to think NLA was a WUM, but Dickp says he isn't, so I won't dismiss his posts. He believe Murray is paranoid about Varney getting back in. When you think about how Murray put his grudge against Tango Man ahead of the good of Charlton, it may not be the conspiracy theory it first appears to be. Or it may.
NLA is a reliable source of information. But I too can't see how Murray can slow or halt a Takeover. If Roland wants to sell, he will sell. But it is happening at the end of the week Colin and Reams said so and they have never been wrong.
Wasn't it nice this weekend - to be like a normal football club and talk only about the team and the players. No "take-over fake news bollox". Strange that a few well known takeover/Murray stooges had precisely nothing to post this weekend ....
That's what I keep thinking - Too many things we've been told just don't add up... Let's hope we're wrong and it's done soon.
At least Arsène Wenger finally possessed sufficient self awareness to walk away from the car crash he was creating. All the indications are that deluded Murray really does see himself as indispensable- even though he is about as popular as a rat sandwich these days.
More from Bexley Boy. With the deal expected to be completed this week .. will the announcement be made this week , or will they not want to take away from the importance of the game Saturday so perhaps hold back till Monday .... please log in to view this image ?
By the same logic (lack of..) what happens if we get to Wembley ? Postpone the takeover announcement until the end of May #moronicColin
I suspect Murray of mischief which is not helping the take-over. After staving off the protests by lying about a price being agreed in February, he appears to be responsible for scaremongering about Roland leasing the ground. A sort of double agent. He has become toxic to the club, but no-one knows quite how to get rid of him. The best analogy is Billy Connolly's "Wee beige jobby, you flush and flush and it won't go away"
I'm losing the plot with this boring takeover, but with the latest bit of news telling us that a couple of proposed board members may have associations with other Clubs, it looks like our new leader doesn't even know who'll end up on the board. As for Murray, he would hate to admit he's been wrong about anything, so he's probably convinced himself that February has dragged on a bit this year...
Murray has been Duchatelet’s Useful Idiot from Day 1. Murray in turn has used needy, attention seeking fans by feeding them duff info. Everitt Hayes Dutton “Doucher”
Don't forget that Murray is the self-styled "link with the fans". The "fans" being Cardiff residents. Last time he appeared at The Valley he was booed by Upper North.. Doucher never denied that Murray was his source, although he did not admit it either. I think the others have fallen out with him since the glory days
An ITK poster [] on Wally Life has stated that Richard Murray is a stumbling block in the takeover. I can't see how that is so? Either he gets his dosh back, like the other 6 ex Directors, or he doesn't? Maybe a minor issue is "what to do about the smelly problem that is Richard' , post takeover. Two weeks ago Duchatelet told ROT that Murray is a "great guy" . We know that RD is malicious, hence his inserted clause banning people including Varney [but sadly not Rick Everitt] from any future involvement in Charlton....could Duchatelet be demanding a future role for his favourite stooge...and if so....why?
Can't see how he could have that much power...Hope it's not about getting his money back, or wanting a seat on the board, but if it is then these new owners really haven't got the clout we need.
Just like Mugabe referred to "his" Zimbabwe and Assad "his" Syria...Murray really does seem hellbent on going down in the rubble with whatever is left of Charlton. There must be a strong element of either narcissism or delusion there...
