No its realy really poor as England were always looking to next test series with the line ups... and it really showed.

Going to be a real test... making debut is hard enough but in India against the spin, good luck (if he makes it through the seamers early on)

Yeah heard has a solid defence which is useful for a test opener for sure. Be a real test of his technique though.

I goes to show how poor some batsmen have been i guess
Duckett was just ok and he's not no 4. buttler is in. stokes and bairstow will be vital. Cook and root also vital.
the issue is spin seems to torture a lot of them. some of them can get huge huge scores and scroe quickly but we could collapse at times.
the thin is with woakes in the team and alli the batting runs deep... but can england take 20 wickets and can they score enough as well.

England better than expected. the kid got 31.. not bad. right now they need root and alli to stick about a bit.
