Bad news guys - Sachin was caught on 74. Shame he couldn't make his century. As this is probably his last innings, he ends on 15,921 runs. #Legend

Lara was better <whistle>

Some further good prep for the first test yesterday. Good knock for Root, (**** Bairstow) and the bowlers each got a wicket. Only 30 odd runs ahead with 6 wickets in hand. Skittle them out and knock them off <ok>

Haha - I would say Lara looked more elegant and classier, and certainly saved his team with more important knocks than Sachin.

Quite an interesting little article comparing the Little Master, Lara, Ponting, Kallis and Sangakkarer. Some good stats in there too Basically says what we all know, if you wanted a player to get you an innings in a tight spot you'd go for Lara but if you look for a player who will hardly miss a beat year after year it's Tendulkar.

So. A win by 7 wickets in the final tour match before the first Ashes test in Brisbane this coming Thursday. Good preparation <ok> I reckon Carberry will open with Cook, Root at six and Tremlett will get the third seamer spot. Bring it ****ing on.

Yeah I read this - can't argue with it. In the Indian team, I would have preferred to have Rahul Dravid in such situations.

But the most impressive thing about Tendulkar is how he has performed for 24 years, under the pressure, the scrutiny yet still remain humble and 'scandal-free'.

I'll be happy with that line-up..
Stick it up the Aussies from day 1, session 1, ball 1.. no letting up until the Ashes have been retained!
